They are asking why is it that in FFXI players can fight all mobs in the dats while in FFXIV that isn't the case. My comment makes perfect sense. You are kind of confused.. Since this whole thread is about why we can not fight the hooded mobs from a mission currently active in the game.

They could make for an interesting boss fight for sure. :)

Have you read Jennestia's previous posts? You have not demonstrated that FFXI didn't use all the mobs in the .dat, which was the question that was asked.

They are behind in content release, due to reworking the game's foundations. The story segment made it clear that the Ascians had a part to play in the story later on. Jennestia's point was that once content starts coming in the mobs in the .dats will certainly become available to fight.

The whole point wasn't about me proving anything. I went back to the state of FFXIV and how they only use areas and mobs for missions right now. If you want to answer that, you are free to do that.

There's no question there, but your point has already been addressed.
Anything that's not already in this thread is pure speculation. SE has the mob in the .dats, so it will at some point be used, as demonstrated in SE's previous MMOs.
