IMPORTANT - Yet another reminder to Yoshi and crew - IMPORTANT

I agree 100%, enough is enough, the most basic feature of all (removing members) needs to be implemented already. Countless threads about this since launch.

Here's what we got so far from the devs:

Text commands are coming BUT there's no mention of it in thier plans for summer of 2011. This needs to be raised on the priority list.

They already explained after the battle system is redone they'll look into it -- why force the issue when it was already explained there's a bigger priority and it will come after that's said and done? Which by the way is a lot more important to the game than linkshell controls currently.

Because the battle system could take months to fine-tune. This could be done within weeks. So it absolutely is worth bring up again and again and again and again.

Because a lot of us are sick of reforming our Linkshells and would like to see some action to remedy the situation NOW. This game is going on 9 months and we still don't have something as simple as LS admin tools.

I'm quite curious the size of the team that even works on FFXIV.
I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, I know they have multiple people working on multiple things and the battle system must take up a lot of resources and time, but....SE is terribly slow at development it seems, in comparison to other giant companies ;\ Even back in XI, they were going at snail-pace-speed.

We have the ability and functionality to remove members of the Linkshell currently. Just remove the daggum limitations already. You don't have to completely change the Linkshell system right this second...just make that one correction. I refuse to believe that that one change is so complicated it has to be ignored for so long.

It's such horrible design implementation that originally I thought it was a bug. I have never played a game where the developers were so out of touch with players and the MMORPG industry in general.

No they weren't, they updated the game every 2-3 months with a large update up until (oh noes) ToAU's release which is quicker than some MMOs did at the time. XIV's development in 2006-2009 severely slowed them down and then when XIV finally released, they pumped out a lot of content.

Now you see why a lot of us "pro FFXI" players are dumbfounded by the decision to ignore what the game did especially with similar systems.

P.S, FFXI proves that they're not "out of touch", they just really didn't want to make a [SIZE="5"]"[/SIZE]clone[SIZE="5"]"[/SIZE]* like other MMO developers tend to do the past couple of years. The fact FFXI is easier than WoW proves they're pretty much aware of how player's like easy progression for example.

That is nice and all, but inviting or booting from the Linkshell from anywhere isn't going to make your game a clone. They can deviate all they want from the norm as far as game content goes, but a crappy non-intuitive UI and silly decisions like the topic at hand is not what is necessary to avoid being a clone.

And yep, you ignored it as figured.

It's well known they purposefully tried to make XIV as different as possible even from XI for no reason. Take XI's UI for example -- fairly simple and straight forward and only annoyed people who hate taking precious seconds out of their life to hit the "-" key to open the main menu.

XIV's UI? They deviated from a simple design for absolutely no reason.
