No. The stats allocation is a completely pointless and borderline worthless system on every Class except Arcanist, and I'm glad it isn't on Arcanist.
How? A 15 stat difference (if you split for both) isn't going to out right prevent you from playing either Job, nor is a 30 stat difference for that matter. This is a RPG and defining your character through stats is a huge part of that... A stat allocation system without such a dynamic is completely redundant...
they said it will be how dual jobs works, you have to choose what you will specialize in and switching stats will require meaningful effort
Possibly why it's such a worthless mechanic on every other class, because they don't have dual job ability yet
I think you are all bashing Slate for no good reason.
First he's a lalafell. <3
Second the 20% decrease in healing isn't very noticeable. And swapping INT and MND may overlap the 20% problem. He makes a valid point.... perhaps the cleric stance 20% decrease allows arcanist to fully go into int and switch to MND without being OP? I don't know. I am not a number crunching type of guy.
My point is, don't bash people for doing nothing wrong or mean.
Edit: This was not in response to people with constructive feedback or opinions.
I think conventional wisdom is that SCH benefits from the MND more than SMN benefits from the INT. But you should probably specialize for each class.
You can easily change it with 10000 seals, anyway.
dont feel like im getting bashed. would like to know if using it is worth it. Since I mained summoner though, i maxed int for damage. I just figured flipping the stats would help as far as getting more mind.
