You can use flash without a target, so if you use it right as they spawn, you can get two flashes off before you'd normally target and use a roh, and by then you have enough to hold long enough to just use combos.

Flash scales with your gear, mostly WD i believe, so +1 your sword.

I was assuming you had overlooked the ability to 'sit' on a combo'd Halone (or indeed as Keni1134 suggested, a Savage Blade) for a few seconds.

There isn't really any reason you shouldn't be able to do this. You don't need expert timing and precision or anything, the combo state lasts a considerable amount of time.
