Please add notification when Duty Finder is ready

I took it as the OP basically wants to stand in line for a movie, but then after getting in line, wants to go home, get something to eat, and go play paintball. Then wants the movie theater to call him when his seat is ready.

You cant relate to his plight because you are an instaqueue tank.
Sometimes people only feel like logging in to dutyfinder for stuff, and use their computer to multitask while they have to wait 30+ minutes for a dungeon.

Not everyone wants to fish/craft/gather while queuing. Why are you so hostile to someone that wants a better notification system built into the game client?

I understand queue times are longer for DPS, but if I am not paying the slightest bit of attention to the game, watching netflix, playing another game, listening to music and talking to my friends; then I'm not going to blame to game for missing my queue, that's your own fault.

I seriously doubt you stare at the screen with your eyes glued just to get into that DF. We all need a break or will be distracted whether it's even something as small as checking messengers, but even then, a DF can pop up and we miss it. My point is why not have this notification as an add-on to one of the game's features? Surely, it shouldn't be that difficult and it's not selfish at all, since this wouldn't hurt anyone. I'm baffled by your reasoning in actually trying to counteract this with such poor reprisal.

I play in full screen windowed mode. But I have 2 display. Never a problem.
Also when I'm playing the game... I'm playing the game. If I'm in the duty finder and it's taking a while I hope on a DoL and goto town.

It's not like the OP was blaming SE for the times that he missed or barely missed his queue, he was simply asking for a better system than the one currently in place. And there's nothing wrong with that imo.

Toxic community is toxic. Give the guy a break, jesus. It would be nice if while alt-tabbed the icon on the task bar would blink if DF popped.

But there are other possibilities.

You alt-tab to check the location of a hunt log or gathering area and you "think" you are in a safe place. BUT WHAT'S THAT?! IT'S A FATE SPAWN!

Your icon on your task bar is now blinking telling you are under attack by a swarm of dodos.

You're replying to a topic on your FCs forum and your FC leader sends you an invite to go tackle BC while you're alt-tabbed. Your icon starts blinking indicating you have a pending party invite while alt-tabbed.

Seriously guys, this is a great QOL mechanic that should be in the game. Having sound always playing is not always an option especially if you play while people are sleeping in your home.

Many other MMOs do it. Why not this one? I loved it in Rift.

Wow you guys probably need SE to send u a text message on your mobiles phones whenever DF pops while you're away from the screen then! Or maybe ask SE to start selling alarm clocks that hooks up to in-game activities that can be specifically set to the server your're in like Odin or Behemoth spawns so whenever they do you guys don't miss it in the middle of your sleep! How bout that for innovation? Jeezus
