Lets look at this.

To find friends, Waste time not worrying about what's happening else where in the world.
Time Sync. Life used to be 20-30 years now we got 60-117 GOD FORBID anyone lives to 117 that's not really living.

As with any game to have fun if your looking for anything different your looking in the wrong place.

A time sink.

plaed whm to 50 and enjoyed its mechanics.

played pld and war to 45 and enjoyed their mechanics.

lvling blm and crafting now and enjoy their mechanics.

oh you hate doing things over and over again? but you still wanna do it because you want your zomgl337 gear? no sympathy mate :P

i wasn't saying it was unplayable to do other things. i was just commenting on that one issue of rage quitters in df. as a healer or tank the duty finder is a godsend, but as a dd it's horror. i mentioned that day because i was capped on tomes for the week and was specifically trying to get into a titan run for extra practice on my blm rotations. blm's are quite tricky in that fight to get good dps in so i want all the extra practice i can get. as far as gear goes i have no issues there as right now i have 3 pieces of quint melded vanya and a 4th piece that's quad melded. the rest of my gear is dl or alagan. sure it has room to improve which i will be working towards once i move over to smn as my main, but for titan it's fine since i'm not planning to use it as my coil gear.

i wouldn't even be upset if they gave the option to kick a member like the whm that joined in full af1 that has no chance to beat the content or even for the group to exit the dungeon as a whole and stay queue'd together until enough members filled the party again. just the way it's setup is pretty bad currently.

in other words for me with plenty of other things i can work on and time already invested in my char it's an inconvenience, but i can see where sitting for 16 hours and getting nothing done can be considered unplayable for someone else with much less time invested.

Start lying to them if you think they'll leave if dealing with new players. Your progression shouldn't be held hostage by a few stuck-up individuals. It's unfortunate, but when dealing with anonymous people over the internet you have to be ready for jackasses.

Let me see why I am enjoying this game...

1st. Tanking is much more fun, aggro managment is challenging. Much better than WoW brainless tanking.

2nd. Encounter is fun and less tolerance on error. More challenging than WoW in general.

3rd. Combat system is similar to Tera. I like it much better than WoW and looking forward to PvP.

4th. In depth story/lore. Execellent cutscenes. Feel sad when you look at wannabe in Catalysm and Pandaria.

5th. Feels that you are actually playing an online game. WoW's LFG, LFR, and Flex raid is plain retard. If you can achieve everything without much social communciation invovle, why do you even bother to play mmorpg? Just go play Skyrim.

Even though I fully enjoy games and don't regret playing them I always have this thought in my mind...

Games benefit me in no useful way whatsoever. The fact that I spend hundreds of dollars in games is almost equal to throwing money to a trash can. Nothing is achieved if I beat the last boss other than to satisfy my own personal ego, nothing more nothing less...

However...

Everyone in the world do several pointless things, like be fans of some sports team, people who run around with a ball and win some game, but what did you win? Like the vocalist of Dethlok says on 0:12
