More examples of price silliness: Selling pairs of Vanya Breeches for 555,555. Vanya Breeches require 18 Potash, which sell for around 33k each, so 594,000 not counting other mats/clusters. Every other pair that has sold went for 1.5m+. This isn't something a "dedicated crafter" does. It's something an RMT does to generate gil.

It's as if he lists items while ignoring their cost, something that wouldn't make sense for an actual crafter to do, especially when there's no one else selling the items and they have a history of selling.

How does any of this explain selling multiple items for 555,555 when the mats cost 600k+ and the only history for the items have them selling for 1m+? He instantly posted items for every recipe he could make and, on the same day he hit 50 GSM according to his Lodestone, posted these dramatically underpriced items for every GSM recipe.

I'm a little baffled by some people here trying to explain this away. If you know anything about the games crafting system, you'd know it's almost impossible to come up with the mats he did so quickly (especially with no history of buying subcomponents) and any type of "guild" crafting idea again makes no sense considering how under-leveled his other crafting professions are.

RMT like this is going to destroy any type of crafting market that still exists if something doesn't get done.

The only "guild" crafting theory that might make sense is this guy is a clearing house for items crafted by others.

I have to agree with Rainsford's assessment. Please report him and see what SE uncovers.

All of the items he posts have his signature on them, so he's the one crafting them.

like i've said, he bought the potash, etc from his previous server. for having gsm, ltw, and wvr, he has access to innovation, waster not II, and careful synthesis II which is enough to HQ tier 2 gears with some consistency, hence why he has some NQ items for sale. with the ridiculous price he places such as 555,555, he's messing around and like u've said, that it would cost 594k for 18 potash, its around the ballpark that he just want to recoup back the gils he spent on the tier 2 mats from his previous server.

i was suspicious at first when i saw a guy doing the same thing in my server, but his tactics won't last long and since ilvl 70 items are now bindable even in low mobs, meaning they can't be sold back in the market, the market will go back to be 'normal' sooner or later.

Actually, Vanya Breeches require a hard hippogryph leather as well, which adds 9 animal fat into the mix, so break even should have been more than 850k. This guy also has a LOT of items posted (as in, one or two of every single item crafted by leather and cloth), and he's posting new ones as they sell, which means he would have had to have an inordinate amount of money (at current market prices, we're probably talking over 20m).

Also, if he's just liquidating stuff he brought from another server, why would he have brought the items required to make goldsmith i70 crafts when he didn't have goldsmith until a day or two ago?

There was a matless craft exploit. It was on from day 1 untill the latest patch that fixed it. And whit that it was possible to do a lot more

Again, like I keep repeating, the whole "he brought the mats over from the old server" doesn't explain why ~no~ other crafts are leveled (and GSM was 0 before 3 days ago). Most of the crafting was done without melded jewelry. HQing 2-star items with 313 CP, bare-bones stats and no cross-class skills aside from Weaver and Leatherworker is very, very difficult, and can be made much easier by taking 3-4 hours to get the other crafts to 15.

I'll never understand why people tie themselves into knots defending things that are clearly exploits. Why would someone without even activating a mount be worried about "recouping" his gil? He'd make more money selling the mats on a lot of these crafts.

In any case, server transfer is the legitimate excuse for not having sub-ingredient history. On the other hand, you know, there's this thing called "trading system" and "buying directly from the vendor".

Or, like previous posts have suggested, it is an alternate to a main character with the savings to fund this. Yes, his lack of sub-crafts (particularly CRP 50) makes it dubious that he can reliably HQ. Possible explanation: he buys or makes HQ sub-ingredients (with half a quality bar, even a monkey could HQ a synthesis).

Yes it would have made more sense to sell the sub-ingredients directly on the market (prevailing price is 30-35k each). Not everyone realizes this.

With the examples you've given, the pricing is fair. No one cares about pricing on NQ because NQ is practically worthless. Gryphon boots and pants cost <300k to make, so 555k is an OK price. The only exception is the Vanya pants. Here's another explanation: a [stupid] mistake.
