I did, and as I said before I even contacted my ISP to check if there was any issues with my connection. Everything is working as it should, and I don't have any lag or latency issues with any game or program except FF14. My connection speed is constant, I've checked it both during peak hours and late at night, and there's only a 1Mb variation which is within the normal parameters. I also have high speed internet, so it's not like I'm using all my bandwith.
Funny thing, I've run both WoW and FF14 at the same time, and WoW runs perfect and I'm able to raid in 25 man groups with no problems in high settings, but FF14 lags with or without WoW running. So I think at this point I've covered most possibilities.

Server side lag affects everyone, the big question is how much actually affects players. Depends on distance, ISP, locations; etc. The server can only compensate so much, same goes for the computer on the client side to.

Having it on PS3 is the worst. I know we kinda get the short end of the stick, but I just can't do it. I'm a DRG and my combos are being interrupted by the lag. Sometimes it'll register the combo and sometimes it won't so I'm stuck guessing if it did and I'm hoping that the next combo will the the full potential of damage. Don't even get me started on FATEs. I'm there sitting like a duck in Coetheras because the boss mobs won't even show up on my screen so I just wait till the FATE is done and get no experience.
I'll do my animation for my abilities but it won't atually do damage so I have to keep spamming it till it can actually do something. It's really frustrating -

Ya, I have the same service provider as OP and live in LA. The lag in this game is really annoying. I manage to get by as DPS but I wouldn't want to heal or tank with this lag.

And what's more annoying is that everybody assumes it's our internet speed, but this lag only happens with this game, nowhere else.

I would say it's the ISP having issue getting to the data centers it happen a lot in 1.0 where some ISP block ffxiv data centers and players could not even log in. Or could be something else it's really hard to say you should not be getting that high of a ping.Quote:
