Doing it All on One Character? Possible?

I have to go see for myself when I log in again, becuz to be fair you were also the same guy trolling people this week telling them you cant use the same character name on other chars on other servers and that a character name made on one server claims it for all servers xD so forgive me if I need to check that out for myself.

You CAN do it all on one character, and if I wanted to play an alt job I wouldn't have the fortitude to start from scratch on another char.

That said, you will hit a point in endgame for your DoW/M jobs where you're going to have to choose which one to gear. You could gear multiple jobs at the same rate, but that would be unrealistically slow, so instead you'll have a well-geared job, and a gimped job.

It's so easy to max all jobs now...You can do it really quickly if you do some research.

I did my all 50s in 1.0, that was actually somewhat challenging back then. Still more challenging than Abyssea though.

It should be possible as i currently stand as a level 31 Paladin, Lancer and conjurer is level 16 and all other classes are bellow.
I plan on perhaps switching to Dragoon later on soit helps to level. Also you do get cross class abilities. Gladiator for instance gets Cure and Protect from conjurer and cross classes from Maurader as well

Personally, I would go through the main story quest line and level a single DoW to lvl 50 first. As others have mentioned, there are several benefits by doing this:

1. 50% extra exp for all other DoW classes on mob kills
2. You unlock game mechanics as you progress through the main story quest line such as Retainers, Chocobos, Companions, Grand Company, etc
3. Main story quest line usually gives you gear for any class which you choose as a quest reward
4. You will have access to all dungeons to farm for gear for other classes
5. You will have access to high level fates which give the most seals to buy GC weapons/equipment
6. The main story is pretty good and flows pretty well. If you keep pausing to catch your other classes up, you might forget what happened or what you're supposed to do next.

I probably missed some other things.

Of course, play how you like as long as you're enjoying the experience! I just personally feel it would be more efficient to level a single DoW to 50 first.

Oh yea. Don't forget to do your hunting log on each DoW. Your class hunting log and GC log give quite a bit of exp.

Always important and very beneficial and a good place to start, especially when u get so many classes that u don't have has many quests left. =D
