How do you check your ping?

Yes, the problem appears to be with one or more of their routers.

It's 2013 and we still have major AAA online PC games that don't show your ping!?!?!?!?!

So is 170 ping bad for FFXIV? Because that's what my ping is and I have zero problems with dodging aoe attacks like in Titan HM.

If thats true try being Aussie with 250 - 400+ in every mmo, that would open your eyes on whats a good ping time..

I sit around 200 ping to the Japanese servers from Canada, hasn't bothered me much but I'm not much of a raider so...

The effects can be felt in all activities but it's pretty slight.

By the by I ping around 100 to the NA servers.

You can also do this

Start menu type in "CMD"
In CMD type in
"ping 184.107.107.176" for NA/EU data center
"ping 202.67.53.202" for JP data center

Ping is that much of a deal on MMO's, I have played MMO's with a ping of 250-300 and it still has been fine. Now if this were a FPS i would agree with you.

My latency doubled. I'm glad I haven't invested too much in this game.
