Give this person a medal! Don't know why bit it was hilarious but more importantly very true. I hate it when the only one up is a bard amd unless it's a lvl 3 limit break it's usually a wipe :-/

Fear not my fellow melees. For if I know SE, they will eventually get around to tweaking melee, and when they do I expect it to be an over tweak. Just buckle down and hang on for the ride until we get there.

They do about the same (or more) damage, and have free movement to avoid AOE's better.

New to mmo's?

I'm pretty sure this question is asked in every single MMO ever.

I don't feel this way at all and I love my Monk.

The only problem I have is a Monk's lack of utility in Coil turn 2 where people are trying to run with at least 2 BRD's for silencing. But I feel like a MNK would be even better at this. The only problem is that my Arm of the Destroyer is not even remotely as reliable as an Archer's silences. I have no idea why this is. I know for a fact that it is not accuracy as I had far more accuracy than the BRDs in my group. Lag? Maybe but in some cases I would get 2 AoD's off before the cast bar was finished.

I'd trade my limit for damage and groups that bard gets.

using limit really isnt that great its one single animation.

If you do it right, you can match a Bard's damage output. I can take down a single mob in AK by myself as a bard and tank can put together.

If you're just talking about damage, I say they are pretty balance. It's not severe enough to take one or the other. If you can't dodge on melee, you can't dodge on range.

OP is just another case of someone blaming their own inadequacies on the game instead of themselves. Too much of this in gaming nowadays.
