Square-Enix you didn't think this through (alt leveling)

I only do guildhests on my healer class. I've done several multiple times, and EXP was gained from them every time, I'm not sure what you're getting at with "they don't reset"

Yeah I guess I was getting about a level ever 4-5 hrs doing dungeons whereas FATES is 1 level an hour or something ??

You only get the "first time completion" bonus once.

The first time you do them, you get approximately 8x - 10x more experience.

Doing them more than once is a waste of time, you get really poor experience per hour in comparison to other options.

I hate to break it to you, but if you are having this much of a problem getting your first alt class to level 10, you are probably going to rage quit over higher levels. There are options. No, they aren't the best exp options, but they are there. Levequests, exp chains, some fates that you can solo, they will all get you there eventually. And maybe this will be a lesson to those who do every single quest on one class. Personally, I leave all side quests for alt classes, and only do the main storyline on my highest class, thereby breaking up the grinding periods. Even so, it's a challenge at times to find ways to level alt classes. But that doesn't mean SE needs to make things even easier than they already are.

Being a lone wolf isn't really an excuse. This is an MMO, you play with other people. If your not playing with other people why are you playing an MMO in the first place?

I got to level 15 on a new class in like an hour just killing mobs and doing my hunting log with about 8 leve's. I just hit 5 at the starting area on mobs and the HL with nothing else. Then went and picked up every Leve in western thanalan, did them while continuing hunting log and soloing a kill X number of mobs fate. I made it to 10 in no time and went to horizon and picked up all those levels and went down there and soloed some of those fates too and made it to 15.

At 15 I found 3 buddies to come level alts with me in the aleport area where we did fates together and we EXP Farmed goblins to 20 And then went to south shroud, eventually picking up a full part level 20-23 where we leveled to 30 and moved to costa del sol. Any time we weren't doing a fate, we were exp grinding mobs.

Lol level 1 hunting log should take you to around 7.
It takes 20 minutes to get to 15, with the 50% exp boost if you have a 50. Then you can use Helm of Light or FC exp boost etc.

I would like daily's though.

You grind... You know.. like you do in EVERY FINAL FANTASY EVER... sheesh

Asian mmos, always a grind.

With the chocobo and decent gear you can solo exp chain pretty well

We have dailies - leves.

Whereas a daily gives you a bunchv'e quests you can do once each day, they give you dozens of quests and say "you can do 6 of these a day, pick what best suits you"
