Just read some of the threads/posts around these forums to those who try to make logical sense or even yet, just try to post in a postive manner, there is your answer. Then you have reading comprehension disabilities and to top it off, you have the age old issue of break down in communication on forums where everyone ethier takes you too literally OR because there is no tone expressed, they take you offensively.
The issue is, majority of the Tanking community has a superiority issue and only they can be right and no one else. The proof is in the pudding.
We need more postive around here, so welcome!!!!
this is why i dont generally pug as a tank.
if i set kill order, i expect my dps to follow it, because having one target to heal and not three makes it easier on the healer. if they dont follow it, first time i'll try and pull it back, and ask politely if they could please follow kill order, if they continue to ignore it, i let them tank what they're attacking out of order and state clearly at the end of the fight that *I* will be following the kill order, if they break that, i wont help. normally at that point the healer will pipe in and ask the dps to follow order too.
if dps give me crap on stuff they screw up on, i invite them to tank, and literaly let them.
i've run in to tanks in 8man runs who want to main tank, who boss everyone around and scream at anyone who doesnt do exactly what they say, i tend to ignore them and do what i'm there to do. as long as you perform your role to what you're meant to be doing that behavious simply marks them to everyone else as a douche.
that said...
Dps really need to learn to hold back esp at the start of fights, everyone, tank, dps and healer need to work TOGETHER to achieve things, and if one person, regardless of role, thinks they can do what they want and go against the group, i'd rather take the 15min lock and leave the group. i wont behave like a douche, i'll simply remove myself from the presence of them.
Nope. Not a d-bag. Tell people what to do, but I couldn't careless if they don't listen.
Anglophones, on the other way, are bloody annoying. They are always LOL this and OMG that.
You've just had bad luck. I could say the same about a lot of DPS but the only reason for that is because I don't run into a lot of other tanks.
If a DPS has better gear than other DPS in the group then they see themselves as a God.
Healers seem to be the nicest out of the bunch.
I think most "wah wah tanks are power-trippers" advocates are the quietest players. There are the same people who don't interact with anyone when randomly matched with other through the DF; they expect you to shut up and earn their tomes for them. But don't like it when you tell them how to play or coordinate themselves.
These same people can't appreciate a tank that has a macro to show which mob you should focus on first. Nor cannot use basic reasoning to 'CC' the un-marked ones, or to not touch them until the marked one is down.
I like to be known as a player who likes to take charge (if no one else is), and I just happen to be a tank. It's not hard to coordinate for these dungeons, but someone has to the be leader. If you aren't the one's to speak up, then keep quiet and do you job.
....it really can't be anymore simple than that.
