How can you time Thrill of Battle with every mountain buster? The attack happens every ~60 seconds and ToB has a CD of 120 seconds. What do you do on those where ToB was on CD?

Basically this; it will *always* hit after a Rockbuster. Time IB to hit either before or after Mountain Buster (MB). MB hits for 4-4.5k, so if you don't have at least 5K HP within 1-2 seconds after his Rockbuster, you need to IB to live. After that pop Infuriate if it's up, IB again if necessary, but hopefully healers can top you off at that point.
If you don't need to use IB pre-MB, then hit it immediately afterwards.
I have full heavy darksteel. Hq rampager with nq skill speed food it has same 2.40 gcd as the gar scream.I've beaten titan 8 times 6 times standing the whole fight 4 times as main tank. 2 times main tank over pld.
I'm otw to army..so I don't have much time. most important thing to know about the fight is to learn the exact rotation of his move. So youtube that learn the exact rotation. If you have good def you don't need more than 6.6k hp....I've done it start to finish once on 6.2 YES!! More hp is safer BUT not at a high cost to your dmg output bc that's how you generate hate.....healers put out a shitload of hate....
Mages need to conserve mp before phase 5. There is no need for cure 2 unless it's free. Through out fight request regen x2 (or sch stuff) and medica ll x2 the occasional Ss during down time. Now the rest is your job to stay alive.
Read forum for best def cooldown rotation. But I never used more than 2 during a mountain buster anticipated mountain buster. Me I have second wind coval voke featherfeet. Also I have high earth res if I use crag axe and a few meld...I've resisted MB TWICE and countless other moves.
Besides that your positioning is key. You have to be aware of first bomb formation. One so you don't die when you move and second after bomb always come left hand bitch slap. So by that point you have 3 gcd secs to prep for MB.
Create macro to warn your party when stuff are down. Especially berserk pacification....que this at the wrong time and you and party will suffer...can even die......but I save berserk for heart 20 sec before he blows up and after heart right before a MB You have time for pacification then.
Another key don't flinch....I one time had 117 hp after a MB and tumult seq.....keep your plans going trust your healers. Titan isn't too hard if you're good at timing and position. This is why I used skill speed food...once I get bk I'll remeld my gear for speed. Each 9 speed is .1 off gcd. I think we can get down to 2.32
People are over dramatic when it comes to the WAR on titan. My group stated that healing me was very easy. These are my tips:
-Mountain Buster comes after two punches, the jab and the hook. I hit my IB right after the hook, and then instantly get my stack back up with infuriate if possible, or I use Conv. Mix this with the following:
-determ
-Featherfoot and ToB.
IMO (and i know the forum warriors are gonna grill me that I use IB during a big hit and not leave my healing %'s up) is that you need HP RIGHT NOW, for MB. Heals will have time to top off before stomp and definitely time before plumes.
Also I have learned to use unchained + zerk for heart phase... makes a big difference and he wont jump away and waist your cd's. Most of the time you will help save the LB as long as you don't get unlucky with with rocks.
Stand on the edge of the arena between two bombs (slightly to your left) and you will never get hit by one. You have many cooldowns to deal with every table flip, they're just not as potent as PLD's. IB > Infuriate is obviously a given. If your healers don't have you fully topped off before the flip comes, IB>Infuriate>wait for MB>IB. Then you can either choose to pop Convalescence or build up your Wrath manually (HS>Vengeance>SS>BB>HS>Maim>Storm's Eye) depending on how much your healers have healed you at that point. Thrill of battle works the same as IB, usually used in combination with Convalescence. Keep Featherfoot on cooldown the whole fight as it's not worth the RNG of dodging a flip, but it's nice to have up just incase it does happen. If you're in a desperate situation Berserk>IB>Infuriate>Second Wind (I replaced Flash with Second Wind for this fight as, even though it's minimal recovery, it's better than like... Awareness for this fight). Pop Foresight before the explosion after the heart (every little bit helps) and then again when it's up before a flip.
One of the healers (of the 2) in my first Titan win died right after the final phase started so, trust me, it's possible to mitigate a good amount of damage regularly (decreases as more stomps come, but hopefully your DPS is strong enough to make that a non-issue). Tell your healers to put a Virus on Titan before the flips and if you have a BRD I believe they have a debuff they can put on Titan as well.
Last but not least, buy food. Any extra bit of cushion helps.
Bomb formation is more dangerous than MB late fight. Each bomb hits for 2.6k ish....so two is a MB plus. Really learn formation s and be ready to drag him across the map. The most dangerous is the circle. You have to move yo the last one and it can appear on the opposite side. Run along the formation direction to get to last bomb and be ready to move over once first blow. Then get ready for rock buster and MB
For ppl struggling to pass heart.....your pt need learn to save dmg cooldown and max your usuage. You too!! this means to also have your cool downs ready. 5 wrath at start gain hate with one rotation. Then storm eye rotation pop unchained and internal and go hate combo then storm. By then you should have another 5 wrath. Now hit berserk then hit IB then infuriate and IB again. Make sure to sneak in both mercy stroke and brutal swing INBETWEEN GCD don't waste your buffs secs....
My rotation takes 45 sec. You got one more wrath rotation to make an use OR save for MB coming...depends if heart is down. Oh I forgot vegenance ...cut out 2.5 sec
While I think this would work for the clock pattern, I usually nestle into the safe spot and watch the bombs blow up around me. If its the side to side... I run the side to side in the "tank zone". The forward back (where they all drop in yer tank zone), that is the only time I move him to middle. You can actually find the safe zone for all the bombs in the tanking area, I just have a hard time judging 100% of the time where it is besides on the clock pattern.
A good pt was made. During heart tell the first to allllllways get stuck right under the tank. That's the fastest and safest place to get stuck. Also you can help with a steel cyclone or mercy stroke for Hp. On raise tell healers to raise on map edge. RaisEE get up during a rock slide or right after a landing from a jump
You can dodge all the bombs the same way the rest of the party does. Wait for him to rock buster then move towards the center (if circle formation), to the left or right (if line formation) or stand still if X formation. There is no reason to stand there and eat a bomb or try to find the perfect spot to stand and risk eating 2 bombs.
