A direct X 11 client will be made available at some point, but i think they said it was going to be like a year from launch.

zoom in on your magitek mount, the low textures look like a nintendo game from the 80s lul. overall i think the game looks decent if you don't look too hard, kind of like vanilla skyrim.

Upgrading to DX11 doesn't magically increase texture resolution. That has been done manually by the developers. All DX11 means is improved shader effects, enhanced tessellation, antialiasing, occlusion, postprocessing effects, and so on. It'll improve the overall graphics quality, yes, but the current low resolution textures will still be an eyesore.
