As others have said, games don't break hardware. When you build a computer you need to do proper stress testing to see if anything has issues under full load. PSUs are indeed extremely common issue in custom PCs because it is something people tend to try and save money on to get more expensive GPU/CPU, but that is the worst mistake you can make. I've seen more than enough PSUs breaks after just 1-2 days of use, and it can easily happen while your computer is off. If that occurs it likely just means that it cracked when you hit the power button, as that moment uses up a very large amount of power and in a poor unit can easily cause failure.

LOL, to be a pcgamer you should most likely be used to PC issues that arise, hardware and software alike. switching out hardware, and updating software should be nothing. It's not SE fix your computer and get back to what you enjoy.

my 6yr old computer can play this game with no issues

my PC specs :
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @2.4ghz
6gb of ram @800mhz
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1gb graphics card
Windows 7 64-bit

the issues have to be on your end somewhere

PC components ( or any components, really ) can die at any time. It's not SE's fault that your computer shut down after an x amount of time of being in game.

update my video card driver and now no crashing at all.


Finally there is PS3 and soon to be PS4 support. Where if hardware fails hope you got warranty.

So... OP. You made a second thread to complain about the same issue? Look, your problem isn't software, it's hardware. We've tried to help you by giving suggestions to figure out what's wrong. Instead, you prefer to keep blaming the software. We get it, you've done alot to try and fix it, but it just seems like you don't want to do more. I mean, think about it. If XIV is making your computer shutdown, then it's on shaky legs and needs some love. Badly. It's just a matter of time before it starts shutting down for less.

Please do check up on your computer before it could get worse! PSU faulty could affect other components at your computer. It's just about time your PC will start shutting down on all games even tetris, check it before it's too late and you blow up your computer.
