Japanese numbers generally cycle every 10,000 (5 digits), so numbers go up to 10,000, then start over so you have 10,000 10,000s (100,000,000). So in the original press release, it literally says "Total Gil Frozen: About 3667 hundred-million gil" (凍結ギル合計:約3677億ギル).
