You could always roll an alt there just until transfers are available.

I don't need a transfer myself, but it would be nice to see some official word on when they're going to add them. ^^

Lots of hours into ours too. 50s with darklight and a couple with relics, but we still rerolled.

Easy to just take things into your own hands than wait for something promised.

All the people saying reroll on your friends server: it's easy for you to say. Would you like to start again from scratch? After putting so much into your character? I wouldn't.

Well that is exactly what my mates and I did. It's not even hard in this game.

Make new friends. It's not terribly hard to be nice to a few new faces!

Probably a stupid question but here goes. I made a character on Gilgamesh because my friends and I had plans to play on that server, so I made sure to secure the character name i wanted early on. Since I am 100% sure that somebody else already has that name, on the server (world) I want to move to, does that mean if i want to transfer that I not only have to pay, but also have to rename the character a different name? O.O

The reason why there's no server transfers yet is cause the server population hasn't stabilized yet. Once the free trials expire, that would weed out the freeloaders and stabilize the population. But, I still won't count on transfers this soon.

Good for you and your friends but everyone doesn't have the same amount of time to completely re-do their characters.

I hope the server transfer is introduced soon, I have some RL friends on a different server because they wanted to start playing even though they couldn't make a character on my server at the time. I wouldn't ask them to re-do their characters even though some of them aren't even 50 yet.

No doubt it will work just like every other MMO ever, and you will be required to rename your character should you transfer to a world where that name is already taken. The name change will, of course, be free.

Yes, if you move to another server and another player already has the name you will have to rename your character. You can create an alt on your server of choise to lock the name if its still availeble.
