Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

Who wouldn't want vieras in the bunny suit with the ears on while failing jutsus with dwarf bunny minion

I'd love to play Viera, more so if they use something close to the XII models and show us the finished concept for the males. We really don't need more shorties, I think; and with Rabanastre and it's history as well as a clear line of character familiarity from XII already in the picture it would make the most sense to go closer to that established and well loved look and race aesthetic/lore than to go left field and turn the highly environ-attuned woodland mystics into walking plushies and or kawaii anime body pillow wannabes on two legs. Feels like that would be a huge regression for the Veira if they went that way.

I feel like I have to comment on the meh towards Roe females though. A lot of the bias I see against them both in forums and in game has more to do with players who play them than the race itself. Very sad folks don't know or recognize the difference between those two things but eh.

Edit: I would also be okay with the Viera women being taller than the male Viera (I never beat FF12, idk if we even see male Viera in FF12) being shorter cuz there are some animal species with the females being larger than the male counterparts, and we don't have that yet on FFXIV. But if they're both tall, I'M ALL FOR IT. Just give me my amazing FF12 Viera. \ o /

yes ff12 version would be the best way to go especially with the lack of tall female races thanks au ra

I have a feeling they'd probably be as tall as (or maybe a little shorter than) a Highlander female, if FFXII is being used as an example.

Okaaaay i lied, i didn't catch up to present YET...but im close! Just about....80 pages left?

I like my Au Ra, would've loved them closer to their concept too, but would welcome the Viera. As for their lower legs and feet, I feel a compromise most would accept for gear would be rather than having to redo all the gear for them, if SE stuck to choice popular items and for everything else, simply made a few generic sets (like leather, scale, metal e.c.t) and then simply coloured them to match the dungeon/crafting set in question. They'd have less variety starting out, but from then on could make them versions.

Still catching up..im on paaaage 135. People, specifically the Anti-Viera, not all but few, are so hung up on thinking that we want CUTE Viera and Miqo'te Copy/paste. Are you dense.

Ya'll thinking too simple minded like a typical "hater", for a lack of a better term but still holds merit.

Albeit some want cute, the majority wants Fran! We want a strong, fierce, amazonian like, bunny race. That they look like they would fit all Tank Classes and all DPS classes

For the Ivalice-Raid, we actually see some Baangas. I wonder why we didnt saw any Vieras. Maybe because the Dev team is actually working on their ingame modells ; )
