I always wonder if people who hate pineapple on pizza have ever tried it or they ate raw pineapple on pizza.
The only pizza that confuses me is banana pizza.
I dunno if it's a Swedish thing, I've never actually seen anyone ever eat it tho I don't even think it's actually common to like it here either it almost seems more like an elaborate meme on a national level.
I've even seen banana and pineapple pizza lol it's just wtf.
Also big chunks isn't very nice imo, when I get it they're smaller pieces.
That actually looks really really good.
I am so ashamed.
Healer died at the last boss in Ktisis Hyperboreia.
Our tank is a DRK.
Well, I guess it's a wipe, I thought.
But I WAS A RED MAGE.
I LEGIT FORGOT I CAN RAISE.
(Until the healer told me to verraise)
I got out of the instance so quick after the duty ended. ><
Dead ends, i was tanking as usual.
Healer goes down on 1st boss due to the wind mechanic with the insta death thing. NP we have an RDM. 10 secs pass. No verraise. 20 secs pass, i really need to say something: "res healer." No reaction. Much later RDM dies to not stacking their dorito with me and the melee. Shortly after we get a "sorry, guys i messed up." Still did not realise the healer was dead the ENTIRE time. 2 of us somehow clutch out a kill by slivers of HP left.
Eventually the lightbulb goes off in the RDMs head. Oh shit the healer! I cuda ... !!! Sorry guys my brain was turned off.
Yeah brain thing happens a lot but not often to that degree XD.
Tower of Zot.
I met a PLD who... unfortunately could not keep aggro on all the mobs. There was always one or two who turned red and some that turned yellow... So I had to heal myself/another party member and the tank. Sometimes he Clemency's himself at 50% to 70%. Still kinda surprised how he lost aggro though. There was no Resquiescat and Holy Circle's either to help control the AoE, so some of the mobs he missed went towards the Dancer. The Ninja was fine on aggro though, but that's because the mobs were getting pulled out of Doton.
Dealt with healing multiple people fine for most of the dungeon until the last 2 wall to wall pulls (the double airships + roader that hits like a mini tankbuster + the sword guys). Because I kept on getting aggro, I had to heal myself a lot more because those mobs hit hard if you aren't a tank. I spent most of my time using my Eukrasian Diagnosis after using up my cooldowns, but even then the PLD died. I couldn't save him at all.... though I have a feeling it probably also has to do with him using both Rampart and Sentinel simultaneously and running out of mitigations to fall back on after when the enemies slapped him from 60% to 0 in one go...
The second time we did the wall to wall, he just stopped before doing the wall and pulling the last 2 enemies. One of the DPS and I get confused and run back. I guess he didn't want to do the full wall to wall to ensure we all survive. We beat up the enemies and then move onto the small next wave. On the final wave of enemies, I end up getting aggro again and lose a decent amount of HP. Before I can use an addersgall ability, I see him apply Intervention (with Knight's Benediction) on me. That's fine I guess, I still was losing HP to the 2 mobs that are still aggro'd onto me before it got pulled awa- HOLD ON. That's when I realized... if he just used Holy Sheltron on himself, he could've just kept aggro on all the mobs with the passive healing. That meant he wasn't using oath gauge in any of the wall to wall pulls....
Honestly, one of my favorite things about Kardia/Kardion is the fact that I can weave Kardia to swap Kardion around. DPS needs topping off after a raidwide? Swap it over! DPS is topped off? Swap it back to tank!
It's not the same thing, obviously, but the situational "switch this around on-the-fly" nature of it hits the same part of my brain that misses cleric stance.
It's not a debate. It's an objective fact that pineapple on pizza is amazing. No one can disagree with this.
True story: I was a kid back when McDonald's first introduced their pizza thing, and they aired a commercial on TV. It wasn't a commercial for their pizza -- in fact, they didn't mention it at all. Rather, they showed footage of astronauts about to embark on some kind of space mission, and they said there was going to be a major announcement that will air at midnight. I saw this ad many times that day, and I convinced my parents to let me stay up late just to see it. I was so sure it was going to be something mind blowing, like they discovered alien life. I was so excited! So guess what happens at midnight: McDonalds announces they will now serve pizza. My mom laughed her ass off, and I felt very foolish indeed.Quote:
I, in turn, shared the cursed knowledge that McDonald's used to serve pizza.
Had a gladiator on stone vigil today and I was a monk. They forgot to put tank stance of for the first pull but nothing bad happened, I told them to put tank stance and they did. We kept double pulling as normal and we cleared the dungeon. I recommended them to do their job quests so they can get their job stone.
Its possible to not overreact and mald on this thread for you too!
Genuine question, how does one tank Stone Vigil? Getting Warrior and Dark Knight through that dungeon, there has never been one smooth run. I know the Dragon Aevis enemies hit for a ton, so do I pull small? People always try to get me to pull more wall-to-wall there but then everything goes to pot. Had one run where we accidentally pulled one dragon, 3 Ice Sprites, 3 more dragons, and then from out of the nether appeared 3 more Ice Sprites? They were being tugged along by a DD. I've no clue how but the SGE mentor healer got us through that, I died once though. Other times healers aren't able to heal through things at all, as if the danger isn't anticipated.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Should I hold off on wall-to-walling there?
Nope! That is just Stone Vigil for you. The mobs in there are truly threatening for the level they appear at. Only Warrior has invuln there and no healer has complete kit. Must send prayer to the twelve if you are with White Mage in there because they are only healer without one single ogcd heal by that level.
It being story dungeon too means many under-geared sprouts just learning how to play. Those fricken sprites too are the most threatening things in that dungeon. They are the most likely to wipe any big pull attempt especially if you pull both groups in the second long hallway. You will likely wipe if someone pulls the Ziz in that adjacent room as well.
My rule for that place has always been if party deeps = good > big pull | if party deeps = bad > try double pull then single pull the sprite hallway because we are not spending forever wiping here.
Was supposed to wrote this since 4 days ago but kept forgetting: Titania via Trial Roulette.
At around 15% of health bar remaining, the WAR MT for whatever reason run past Titania while Divination Rune was being cast. Me (WHM) and my FCmate (PLD) spot this and immediately move out of the way. The other 5 ain't so lucky.
"Umm... I'm sorry.. I don't know why I just did that... lmao. I'm really sorry." said the WAR.
Honestly a good rule of thumb for ARR dungeons is to pull what you think you can handle. HW and onward the mobs are spaced out with the known idea of W2W pulling, but ARR there are a lot of optional mobs and areas where it's not clear when to stop for a first timer.
Duderinos why do so many of y'all join P1-4S and leave after 2 or 3?
Every week o_o.
So annoying.
Arms length is the best tanking CD in the game for dungeons and very few people use it. But especially in that place even if you do use to make the wads of dragons manageable they have something you don't see a lot of in any other content. Magical damage only mobs, those ice rocks, I fear those ice rocks. Add a pack of those to a running-and-probably-being-auto'd tank and its an easy dead ass tank on the floor because they aren't autoing they are casting which means until los broken they can dump freely on the puller.
If you're healer is on point and is using all their buttons it should in theory be fine, but if the tanks not using CD's and the healer's trying to do damage, it's a wipe. Split the ice mobs up too a two pull everything else in theory should be just fine to soak.
Lol, healed P3-4S for my first time healing in Savage.
Went with SGE and barely knew what half my skill did xD, but we managed.
I even got to lb3 ress after every1 except me and MT tank died towards the end in P3S, felt so heroic.
And uh...
Apparently you can just enter P4S with a group and then leave right away and you get to skip 1-3? o_O........
We had that happened... Wasted like 40 min on that person what a pos people like that makes me wish you could publically shame.
Edit: I forgot to mention rofl, I won the weapon chest with a roll of 69 xD...
I was so baffled I don't expect having a chance unless I roll like 85+ at least, yes I am immature the roll being the win made me snicker.
Went in to the new Alliance raid yesterday, which just so happens to literally be the first day for it. I’m in the party with 2 of my friends, one of whom has already done it but is there to help and also just chit chat with me on VC.
On the first boss, like 70% of the raid dies at roughly 50% (honestly I wasn’t even mad that I died, that mechanic is so cool!). Half of us release, half of them are still on the ground in the arena.
Alliance B has 6 people in the arena, a few of them dead. Alliance C also had 6 in the arena, not sure who was dead or alive there. The entirety of Alliance A is outside waiting. It’s clear that we just want to be able to redo the fight, since a majority of us are literally fresh and it’s literally day 1 content. Rather than wall it, what’s roughly 10 people (give or take a few who might’ve been dead but unable to be seen from our vantage point) take 10 minutes to slowly, slowly whittle it down from ~50% to 0. It’s very clear, given we outright said as much in the chatbox, that everyone from A and some from C want to be able to go back in and enjoy the fight.
Once they get to 0%, we’re all annoyed, but we plod on to the mini boss in the next area. Right after that mini boss a vote abandon goes out, and fails. (I’d have rathered it didn’t :/ I didn’t want to leave and face a 30 minute lockout but I didn’t want my first clear of this raid on DAY ONE to be like this.) The next boss (cool arena BTW) like 6 people from each alliance KO. instead of walling, Alliance A, in a bid to at least get the others to understand how annoying it is, decides to rez everyone (coincidentally, people from Alliance B released :) ). My friend jokingly asks why they released, since people were still alive. Alliance B caught feelings I guess, and someone goes off about how they apparently can’t do anything right.
The rest of the raid, similarly, is spent with the majority of every alliance eating the floor. Luckily nothing else happened but dang. I wish I could’ve experienced that first fight rather than watch ~10 people flex their e-peen for 10 minutes.
Sympathies. I made a point of going into the alliance raid as quickly as I could specifically so it would be almost entirely still groups going blind, and had a blast... but then I went to look at the new EX, and though we were only 5 hours into the patch already much of PF was "Fresh prog. MUST HAVE WATCHED VIDEO, KNOW MECHANICS."
Does no one enjoy blind prog anymore? Demanding prog be blind when things have been out for ages and folks want to get through it to catch up is inconsiderate; if you want to guarantee a blind prog run of P1S at this point in the tier, for instance, make your own party. But when something has been out only a few hours, it feels weird to see folks demanding people go watch a video. It kills the joy of tackling something brand-new, I guess? At least for me.
I dunno why I found that disheartening. It's not like it doesn't happen every time, or that I shouldn't have expected it, but still.
I mean, I got together a blind prog party today and had a lot of fun (even if we didn't quite clear), but...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah I’m definitely going to blind prog EX3. Funny enough, months ago, my group accidentally DF Queue’d for EX1 with 7 players, and nearly immediately we got another player. We managed to blindly scramble around with nothing but one person’s danger dorito until we got hard stopped by the Add phase. it was genuinely fun!
It’s made me appreciate blind progging a lot more.
But yeah we went into the alliance raid like, maybe 16 hours after it came out?? and already people were being massive dicks
You could be in the very first group to ever go into something, and someone is potentially going to be a dick.
Last night did the new raid, went in blind, and we ended up wiping twice to the final boss. All because everyone was following incorrect direction(everyone on one side). It was still a fun raid, and am looking forward to doing it more to get all the items that drop at the end(and listen to the final boss music lots more...definitely one of those ones you crank the volume for)
Just a quick whinge about my continuing journey to obtain the last of the old alliance minions that I need. Thought I finally lucked out last night as I rolled a 97!....but alas...my drunk co-heal rolled a 98 for the win.

It was a fun group though, so not even bitter on this one. lol.
I love blind prog and it's the reason I usually rush to do new content like alli raids or normal raids. You don't get that experience later on, too many people know the fights and some are even being complete dicks about it. I was lucky that we got a full FC alli raid run together, all blind except for I think 1 or 2 people that didn't say anything.
Alliance chat was wild when entire alliances got deleted by the same bait mechanic. The whole "Oh, I think I got i- nevermind I'm dead. Let me watch from the floor. OOOHHHHHH now I got it! ... I think...." moments were great.
I'm already somewhat late to the party with the new Ex because "MUST WATCH GUIDE" PFs are popping up everywhere. Ex will be farmed for countless weeks, I don't understand the need to guide-rush it. It's not going anywhere and the loot isn't all that special.
Yeah, a friend got together a 24-man blind run... and then due to RL, they ended up short a healer like 10 minutes before the run. They tagged me in for the last spot, even though I'd done it already. I just stayed quiet on mechanics, because half the fun of day one is getting to figure it all out; the last thing I wanted was to ruin that for them.
I get O12 for my trial roulette and I'm excited cause it's one of my favorite fights in the game.
It's going well for the most part until we get to resonance, one tank dies because I think he didn't CD the other tank vokes, which gives them a dmg up buff and then they don't spread them apart. So we wipe as M and F one shot everyone one by one.
So as we wipe one of the tanks, the WAR says "That's on me, I guess I had to bring them closer." so which I'm like oh no, that's a terrible idea.
So I reply "They need to be kept apart"
The WAR replies "False, it depends on the mechanic." and I'm rolling my eyes because NO. That doesn't work like that in Normal mode. You want to keep them apart period, but I'm not gonna argue.
Sure enough we get to resonance, I watch him drag M across the room, watch the buff pop on M as he brings it, and him and the other tank get one shot by the tank buster...
So I say "See, it has the buff..."
BUT STILL the insist that he did the mechanic correctly, and that if you bring them close they don't get it... but the buff LITERALLY SAYS IF THEY'RE IN PROXIMITY TO EACH OTHER THEY GET THE BUFF.
Bro, it doesn't work like that in normal mode.
But whatever, me and the other healer drag him and the other tank back from the dead and over the finish line.
I feel like the Twelve did *not* want me to finish leveling Monk tonight. Between slow DPS queues (My own fault because I haven't been using PF to get groups together), and a few very questionable runs of lv85 and 87 dungeons.. Yeah, not a good night. Started at lv85 tonight, ended up at 88.
So! The two stand-out runs.
Lv85 Dungeon get in and the party is GNB, WHM, BLM, MNK (Me). Very first pull things are already turning hellish as the WHM was in "let's just use GCDs and no oGCDs", ending up in us wiping to the first pull. GNB suggests that the WHM use their abilities so their MP doesn't bottom out. No reply but performance changes to match the suggestion. Things are going somewhat okay all up until the last boss. Healer dies before/during the Falling Sky phase. After the second wipe I asked the healer if they'd to know how to handle the mechanics but they decline, saying that they just need to not suck. Round 3, healer dies the exact same way they did on the second pull. We try to whittle the boss down, but GNB+MNK don't have the true longevity to finish things off (BLM didn't trail too far behind the WHM in meeting with death.) WHM leaves the dungeon without a word, we wait a few moments and get a replacement Sage and we easily blast through the boss. Still, that was 40 minutes spent for the wrong reason.
Lv87 Dungeon
Get in, the group's DRK, SGE, RDM, MNK (Me). I notice something's going amiss on the first pack.. or rather on the path past the first pull: Tank's delaying on their attacks.. Their internet was acting up. They DC as we're moving to the snow section so we decide to wait about five minutes and they come back. Continue forward, kill the first boss and then on the way to the second our tank DCs again. We wait and think for a few moments and decide to try to press on. We wipe at the next trash pack but then upon revive I pop Arm's Length and my other defensive options and the RDM suggests we can also small pull and help mitigate some of these smaller pulls with them using Sleep. It work out, so we're slowly progressing one pack at a time with pull, sleep and single out strats (Side note: damn the fact that all of Monk's Perfect Balance finishers are AoE for that specific scenario.
We roll up on second boss, tank's still Offline, so we decide to just tackle the boss. No deaths and proper role mitigations and such used with me being the new "Tank". But it's at this point we're already over half an hour in. We know that tank's not coming back and none of us have a means to Interrupt the boss' buffing mechanic which'll probably nuke us so we boot the poor DRK and get a WAR shortly after. The ironic thing? The very mechanic we WANTED a tank to prevent was allowed to go through. Warrior is truly the "Mechanics are for Cars" tank. Anyway, tank leaves soon as the boss dies and I give my comm to the RDM for the suggestion of sleep strat but I wish I could've given both of my party members two comms. We made it.
I joined a PF for Hades EX. At the ready check, my roomba pulled out my ethernet cable. I eventually logged back into the game, and the PF owner re-invited me.
Then the roomba pulled the cord out again. After I'd moved it. During the first pull. OML
So uh, I decided to play BLM a little again to farm tomestones for the 590 gear upgrade for alts.
First dungeon Sigmascape.
RPR INTENTIONALLY runs into me with EVERY AoE ( including trying to get me hit with missile ) and tries to get me killed on purpose...
I dunno how you'd even prove this but it was very obvious griefing and I have no clue why I never even said anything.
The WAR Tank did it too, ran up to boss and hit once then stood still and I got aggro.
No Provoke until after I had died from the Tank Buster...
It was on the second boss and the RPR got me killed again by running into me with the laser ( I was in the right position ).
Second time he tried it again and he was being sneaky about it and first stood in the right position, then at the last second he tried to run into me so I wouldn't have time to move but I foresaw it and ran away...
Just wat...
I dunno why it was just totally random never had it happen before and it was so obviously intentional.
Porta Decumana. We were all just astonished that Ultima Weapon actually has mechanics now. It's not a difficult fight, but it's at least engaging, not a snore-fest like it's been for years now.
Had a ninja in Aglaia actually ragequit the game because they got hit by my tankbuster after I'd moved and parked. They sat in it for nearly the entire cast duration, only to move at the last second - not before the snapshot went off, though.
Made me laugh, honestly. I move and park, watch them not move, watch them realize I'm not moving and die because it was too late, and then watch them lay on the floor for a moment with res on, only to start pokeballing because they force quit the game.
They had mentioned that 'tanks keep killing me with TBs in here' at the start of the raid, but like.. if you don't make an effort to get out of them, that's kind of on you tbh.
Had a SCH in Dead Ends just a few minutes ago.
Spammed Adloquium and Succor, back to back during pulls, only those...during pulls.
Only used Excogitation on themselves.
And never used any other cooldown.
And a DRG that just wasn't using any of theirs other than Eye of the Dragon. Me and the poor tank had to suffer through constant deaths from the both of them.
After the their 6th death on the 2nd boss, I had to speak up and at least comment on the SCH essentially holding us hostage with the way they were playing. With the DRG immediately speaking up, with kind of gave it away that they were a duo.
Vote Abandon denied(definitely was the tank, dont blame him I voted yes), as soon as it was denied, I left. As the DRG and SCH where suddenly trying to pull on their own.
I REALLY hate people like this. I am not one to comment on someones skill, but if you've hit LV 90 and you're still playing in such a way. I will seriously just assume you are griefing or purposefully ignoring your skill tips.
I was watching food videos and saw some restaurant in the US where they served macaroni and cheese hamburgers...
And people think pineapple pizza is weird xD?
It's not like it was treated as weird either it was supposedly a really popular and '' iconic '' place.
Edit: Oh yeah and I also saw broccoli ice cream with bacon on top...
Ehm...
"Shelf-life" of this specific EX is quite literally two weeks if you want even remotely competent PF groups. After this everyone with a brain will move on to ultimate and PF will be left rotting with 4-parse window lickers who can't dodge 4 planet explosion mechanics back to back.
I tried the new EX yesterday and I apologize to the practice groups who had to put up with me because I was definitely the window-licker who can't dodge planet explosions. They carried me to a few clears but it felt bad. Everyone else picked up the mechs fine and had almost no deaths by clear 3.
I'm not sure if it's old age or some sort of brain degradation, but the Alli and EX this patch have defeated me and for the sake of other players I'll avoid them. They're great fights and don't need a nerf or anything, it's 100% on me, but it's alarming how easy it is to go from orange logs on Savage and Ultimate clears to being the window licker you used to dread seeing in your group.
There's probably a lesson to be learned on not being too harsh on players who are slow to learn things, because we can easily end up in the same boat one day.
Normal Raid Roulette. Soul of the Creator. Awesome. I love this fight ... most of the time. On this particular occasion, though, the tanks had no idea what they were doing and kept getting people killed with boss cleaves. We wiped 3 times, then vote abandoned.
I'm with you on that one. I've definitely noticed my reflexes and pattern recognition (i.e. the things that enable people to clear anything in FFXIV) gradually going out the window over the last few years. Doesn't help that it seems like each generation of gamers is just a little better than the last as a baseline. You're right, though. It definitely gives one pause regarding the harsh treatment some "bad" players receive. We all adapt at different speeds.
I've been slowly leveling a WHM alt when I'm bored, and when I went in for my first run of The Aery, this was the response as we said our hellos:
https://i.imgur.com/KmuCuyz.jpg
I will admit, when you check my search info it is a bit scary as I only have WHM leveled.....plus a level 12 botanist. Glad to know I'm striking dread into the hearts of those I party with. That, or they just really hate Lalafells. :p
*watches four members of the team run off to Narnia, chasing two of the opposing team, leaving the one gunbreaker -- i.e., the poster herself -- to sit on the crystal and try desperately to hold the remaining three opponents at bay*
*repeat 20+ times in ranked play*
*cue endless, silent, internal screaming*
To be fair, that's a rational reaction; you all pack a lot of evil into a very small package. ;)
Clearing leftover roulettes, I spent way too much times enjoying FLs yesterday that I forgot to deal with my roulettes.
One of my run reminds me once again why I’m very reluctant to solo queue as a tank: 50/60/70/80 threw me into Brayflox (Hard).
Immediately after zoning in, I inspected our WHM’s gears. More than enough. ”Sweet!” I muttered. I went leeroy jenkin pulling everything to the boss’ gate. Halfway through the road I noticed that only DRG pop their sprint. WHM & BLM lags behind. Okay well… good thing I have Hallowed Ground. That should be an ample time for those two to catch up.
They did, just when my invulnerability was only a second away from wearing off. Popped up the other cooldowns and try to round up the mobs… and then I saw that Cure III being casted.
”Oh dear…” I said behind my monitor. They weren’t even casting it on me. They immediately switched to Cure I. At that point I realized, this healer panicked. I’m dead, waiting for raise…. I don’t see any swift. They just proceed to Cure I the DRG albeit helplessly. Every single cast after was Cure I. Down we go to the wipe mobile.
Me:“Alright. Too big, I’ll slow down a bit now.”
BLM:”Was going to say to not pull everything.”
Me:”We’ll be fine. I always start big to gauge.”
WHM:”We almost did it!”
Well for one, I’m glad you’re at least optimistic here, WHM. Let’s give it another go.
I split the first wall into 2 pulls. There I heard one of the most irritating sound effect ever: Cure I spam. Coupled with few (surprisingly) well used Regens. What about Holy? Nada. Stone II? None. A-aero II?? What’s that again?. Times where no healing needed they would either just stand around doing nothing or throw out another Cure I. Not even their Freecure procs were utilized.
After downing the first boss I forgo my own words earlier and just pull everything. It’s not like any pulls except the first wall pull were rough anyways in that dungeon. At least they could’ve thrown an Aero II at bosses, right? Hahahahahahahahahahhano. Absolutely none. The bombs in 3rd boss? Not even those.
Couldn’t help but lament how pointless of SE to lower the MP cost of WHM’s attack spells in lower level if players ain’t even touching them.
To be fair, not everyone pays huge attention to patch notes. Not everyone even takes notice of the links in the 'news' box of the launcher (and sometimes not even the big graphical images in the launcher); we've had threads here before about "The Garo NPC is missing, is there a bug?" (when the Garo event went away originally), "Why have all my Diadem permits changed to say they're invalid?" (when the combat Diadem went away for the Ishgard restoration), "ALL MY BELTS ARE MISSING HELP" (when Endwalker launched and belts were removed), and so on.
And people who have it ingrained in their brain that "WHM low level runs out of MP! Must be cautious!" are probably not the same people who study patch notes about job changes and experiment with adjusting their play style accordingly. :/
