Doing content that's lower than level 76 really, game is so boring at low levels
The inbetween for me are players that are decent enough at what they do, not terribly interested in endgame and generally fairly open to criticism or discussions but with an intense passion for shitting on other games as if FFXIV is the Holy Grail of all MMOs and everything else is garbage.
The problem with them is that they subconsciously most likely know that FFXIV has flaws but refuse to see them and if they do, they try to sell it as charming, part of FFXIV and "something different". They quickly put down players offering feedback and criticism about the game itself, sometimes to the point of getting really personal and often try to shut down discussions or derail them into "at least it's sO mUcH bEttEr than this other game".
People who usually seem reasonable and nice enough can get pretty vile and toxic within a moment.
The classic "just go play this other game if you dare to not like something here.... even if it's a good point and could be improved".
- That one female miqo'te voice
- People left the dungeon etc after a SINGLE wipe
- toxic players
- tanks who can't not wait, when others are in a cutscene
Strawman arguments.
A tank who says in chat "lead the way" then proceeds to provoke off of you.
Speak to *blank* in idyllshire. -> Speak to *blank* in the revenants toll -> Speak to *blank* in idyllshire.
i've said this before - the story is amazing where it's at and i don't think it needs to be condensed but these quests? absolutely need some refining and reworking, even post-post arr.
Ranged/caster dps who stay out of the healing yalm and then wonder why they die.
The way this forum looks can bug me sometimes.
I feel like I need a key when looking at parts of it.
Like, when looking at a list of threads they all have am en envelope next to them. Some are open, some are closed. Some are red, some are grey, or yellow. Some have clocks next to them and others don't.
Or how apmost all of the thread titles have two arrows pointing down in a blue circle just to the left of their name, but a couple don't.
People have all these medals by their head and I don't know what they mean or why some are gold.
At least with the little tags or envelope with a minus sign next to them (to the right of thread names when seeing threads in a list) you can hover over the icon and text pops up explaining what that is, but so many other things aren't clear and I can't find a reference explaining them.
- red envelope for "hot threads" with lots of posts, reaching 6 pages is the threshhold
- yellow envelope for threads below 6 pages long
- grey envelope for topics you already checked recently
- blue arrow for hopping to the newest post since last checking the thread
- clock symbol means you posted in this thread aswell
- medals are just a gimmick to visualize how many posts someone made; first you get silver medals every X post and once you reached the limit, you get a gold medal and new silver medals for more posts
Overly attached people. Following me everywhere, not giving me my personal space.Quote:
what things players do inside game that annoy you sometimes?
whats annoys me its server get off wen im in the climax of dungeon.:p:(
What annoys me is when I run the same dungeon 12+ times and all I get is "Sorry you can't pick this up" from each chest as it keeps giving me the exact same loot drops.
Despite each chest having 10-12+ items it can drop.... I keep getting the exact same loot rolls. Doesn't matter whether I do the dungeon as a tank, healer, physical dps or magical dps... pffft!
People who do not 'follow the leader' on the trapped sections of DR. When a player has carved a safe path through the section, instead of following them they go their own way and get themselves and others who are standing too near (myself) killed.
Also, players who walk into revealed traps in DR, getting themselves and others who are standing too near (myself) killed.
Ingame, there are many QoL things that surely could be improved without dumbing down things, but one in particular annoys me, and that is the token system.
Not talking about tomestones or currencies stored in that specific menu, but some of tokens that you get from content to trade for other things are unecessarily convoluted.
For example, on Eden you get one sword token per week... with 6 of those you can trade for item X (forgot the name rn), then you use this item + 10 other items Y purcahsed with Revelation tomes to trade for a weapon. Those items are spread throughout different vendors. Why not just have the weapon cost directly those 6 sword tokens and 1000 revelation tomes instead? All of those items come from the same source, making this whole process have so many unecessary steps.
They nailed with the tomestones and the way old ones get discontinued, but the token system needs attention.
Lately, co-healers who heal damage right away while I'm just sitting on my oGCDs I now have no reason to use as AST. Chile there is no rush, let me heal and do damage instead of casting Medica II for the nth time.
Everyone can agree that the Glamour Dresser system needs a lot of work. It's messy and clunky and a pain in the a** to use. Worst of all is the Armoire. I know that you can get job gear from the Calamity vendor, but, why do we need to? Why can't we store it in the Armoire so we can easily use it for glams? It doesn't make sense. All lvl 60/70/80 Antiquated(or otherwise) Job-specific gear should be storable in the Armoire.
Gathering bots
Crafting bots
Market board bots
SE's terrible handling of bots.
Trials/raids with 2 tanks. One tank has 30-40K HP more than the other tank. The tank in the crap gear tanks because the guy in full 520 doesn't feel like it. Then when the main tank dies, the offtank doesn't even bother turning on tank stance and everyone slowly dies.
And, actually, on the flip side of things, a duty with 2 tanks where the less experienced/undergeared tank charges in to be MT and keeps trying to lead the charge can really screw things up fast and hard. As a tank, I try not to play "aggro ping pong" because I'm a monk main and know how annoying that can get. But I've more than once had to step in and take charge, if only to give the poor DPS and healers a bit of a break.
- Getting Castrum Meridianum in MSQ roulette when Prae would give me enough exp to level up.
Also:
- People who leave Castrum Meridianum right away just because they didn't get the duty they wanted out of MSQ roulette. Especially when there's somebody new in the duty who needs it to continue story.
People who are too overly confident in their wrong corrections, when trying to tell someone they are doing something wrong, and fully will not accept they themselves are wrong.
We can't climb a ladder, despite ALL the ladders we encounter in the game. It wasn't until we hit Castrum Lacus Litore in Bozja that we got to do something so basic, yet it was treated like a special animation >_>
- when i was RDM and when dps die, iam about to res him but the healer res him first, iam not mad but... let me shine a bit bro lol
- i still dont like the SAM level 3 iaijutsu sound =/
- potato who spam laugh emote nonstop (highest record is through halfway of dungeon.... until we kick him out)
- hair clipping
- tank who aggro everything until "dead end" got wiped because healer cant keep up, instead of slowing down the tank try it again, wiped again, the tank leave before saying "noob/bad party/bad healer/not worthy my time" yes that "not worthy my time" is actually happened during my play, someone is doing edgy roleplay i guess lol
- nobody use LB even when the dungeon is done, poor LB
Inventory issues.
The people I've played with have usually been kind. This community is the best ever.
However, this is about the fourth time for me playing FF14. I've only quit before because of inventory issues.
It's great that you can play all jobs. It sucks that inventory limitations makes it annoying to do so.
AST's ShB relic at latest phase.
Dye option... to dye that small piece of handkerchief... nothing else.. :(
(Well not really, the decks are also dyed but I want to dye the actual globe, boohooo)
This is the one thing that truly annoys me. The inventory system is bad. This also the #1 reason that will make me retire from this game. I’ve already contemplated on quitting once the story ends if the inventory issue isn’t fixed. I love this game and been playing since the release of 2.0 straight nonstop, but I’ve finally reached the point of no return and my inventory space is pretty much done.
Forgetting to replace a Job Crystal after crafting so I queue as a GLD/LNC/etc...oops
People.
But also not having people to play with.
It's a sad circle.
Having to put a relic in the inventory before turning in the quest, and not having a weapon vendor near the npc so I have to teleport to a city.
I'm still surprised they haven't fixed it by now. It shouldn't be hard to just use a placeholder weapon, with it automatically being replaced when the quest is over. Or make it so you don't have to be on the job when you turn in the relic step. Like turning in the quest as a SCH to get a DRK weapon.
