Yeah, it looks like a potentially expensive week on your server. But i have to take issue with "at the mercy of crafters" line. This is what, week 5? week 6? We knew back when this was announced that some of the stuff was going to be advantageous for crafters - its a glamour game and crafters have dozens of recipes that are only useful as glamour. Ignoring the fact that we've had a couple months for people to potentially level some crafting classes to make this easier(cheaper), do you not have any crafter friends or FC member who can make something for you? That gryphon breastguard? Takes 1 hippogryph leather, 1 wool cloth, 1 wool yarn. If anyone i know asks, ill make them one(bringing me the leather and wool would be nice, but those are dirt cheap and easy to get). Theres uraeus skin in a chest in wanderers and available from level 40-45 leves if you need the male version(the uraeus uses boar leather instead of wool cloth, but its otherwise the same). Star velvet is poetics mats, level 60 timed nodes, and a bit of elbow grease(thavy uses common 60 mats and 2 thav silks which are from level 60 maps - a lucky aqua run could net you the mats plus some goodies to sell for much more then this entire week would cost on the MB). Taffeta is cheap aside from the cloth(no easy way to get these that i know - random venture reward). With 3 right items, and close dyes 80 points should be reachable. Do a little of the leg work, and you can probly get it cheaply too. For me, this will be a free week. Ive got 3 of those items in my glamour closet already. A couple cheap dyes and ill be done.

Sidenote: Adding up those prices you quoted... you could probly speed level LTW to 50 for less gil then that, and start making your own breastguards and body armor to sell before the weekend is out to recoup your costs.

I'm all 70 crafter but people in my server are that lazy. A lot of them just don't wanna touch crafting.. I'm not exaggerating when I said they're at the mercy of crafters. We have a lot of all 70 crafters but usually people make for friends.

True story. A lot of the turnins can be bought at the vendors now, if you have the leves to spend on non-hq (since hq gives double). And if you have the time to farm mats/know any 60+ LTW or WVR, you can have them help you make hq items. I admit that I already have enough gil to fund my levequests, but it really wasn't that expensive for me to buy most of the leve items to get from 25 to 60 for ltw and wvr recently, so I really recommend ppl start doing that, if they're invested in fashion report. Just like I went ahead and got one of my lucis weapons two weeks ago even though I wasn't going to get 100 (don't need it, didn't want to buy the mustache). I'm sure it'll be useful in the future.

I don't like the rng element of the ring (yes, I know I've said that, but it really peeves me), you can't 'work hard to make that up', but... eh. I guess it's something.

Someone in reddit proposed that the reason it's 'sizzling scylla' is because the NA localization team followed the JP, seeing the word they use for bewitching is the same as the scylla gloves, and just mislocalized it..

Dunno how else to explain the connection between sizzling scylla and star velvet.

Thanks, I was thinking about using them but figured I’d be patient with my last attempt.

He’s finally asking for items already in my glamour closet which is kinda nice … already had head/chest piece and legs … only looking to find 80 so didn’t even try for the hands.

Got 85 with:

Weapon – Snow White
Head – Bunny Chief Crown (snow white) – BiS but with cheap dye
Chest – Gryphonskin Breastguard (Pure White) – BiS with correct dye
Hands – Thavnairian Armlets (Lilac Purple) – 4 stars – with correct dye
Legs – Taffeta Lioncloth (Pure White) – BiS with correct dye
Feet – Lilac Purple
Rings – Tried Chestnut crafting ring since they kinda edible but he was unimpressed, 1 star.

I tried just the pure white dye on the legs but wasn’t enough so did the breast plate too.

So is it really true that female character are the only ones who can get the top rating because of the bunny stuff, or can male ones get it done too?

As several folks have noted, it's the chief bunny ears (female) or the tamamo headband (fox ears from tokens from Foxy Lady fate, Yanxia.) The headband is for either gender, and gives just as many points as the bunny ears.

You don't need bunny stuff to score 100 points. Just look at the previous page(s) or reddit

If you have a male character, you can wear the tamago fox ears as they are also BiS item

The way I see it, is that Scylla is just the hint of it being a DoM item and they made reference to Sizzling as in trying to find a seductive/attractive hand piece for DoM. Other languages also do that, have a reference to something seductive while also referencing Scylla. Tie in that the weeks theme was referencing Godbert as well.

With everything except the Gysahl ring, it's 99 :'))
Was hoping this week would be my 100 week but alas
I sent a bunch of retainers on ventures in hopes of getting the ring, so hopefully I get it!

Uraeus Skirt is 1 star (iirc), Bunny Chief Tights are 3 star undyed, Bridesmaid's Tights are 1 star undyed and Eastern Lady's Loincloth is 1 star too.

Out of curiosity... where the hell is the gysahl ring from? Searching around I could only find references to some contest years ago, but there seems to be a lot of people successfully trying the ring for this fashion report, so I'm really confused.

It comes from Field Exploration X on retainers and is the rarest item you can get from it.

That said, I didn't even bother with the ring this time around, and settled for 89 points.

Believe me, i know people are lazy - and not just on your server. I just kinda dont agree with that phrase in this case, as there are easy enough ways to have more agency for yourself rather then "being at someone elses mercy". That post was half to show people who might potentially complain how available the materials are for half of this weeks items. And while i know a lot of people will never try(let alone enjoy) crafting, you would think that the sight of all that money changing hands on easy to make items could potentially sway some(are you always broke and sick of it? heres easy money!). But probly not. Easier to complain.

I unlocked nothing this week ._. I hope next week...

I got a gold on hands with Thavnairian Armlets dyed metallic purple, if someone needs another option.

It's almost certain that it will be 601+, rather than 600+. The previous tier was 301+. Doing it that way means as long as you score 80+ you will unlock at the same time as someone who got 100 every week.

You can wear the 100 point outfit but switch out the healing gloves for casting and get 99. Men can wear the Tamamo Headband from the FATE, there's two top scoring items for head this week.

Her outfit mostly matched the first week, but it hasn't changed since. Songbird hat, hannish wool top, skirt (not sure which one but I'm p sure it's a dyed version of a piece of dungeon gear), ironworks boots of casting, false nails (Ananta).

Pure white dye is the same price as normal and the Uraeus Body Armor is rapidly normalizing due to fierce competition with little buyers. These products are still more expensive than their 4-star counterparts, which are already immensely overpriced from the norm, with the exception of the hempen camise/undershirt, which is easy to manufacture(they're also just 59 gil).

The same thing in my server. The Star Velvet went up starting from 500k, then 900k, then back down to 300-400k with not much buyer.
The Gryphonskin Breastguard was at 190k and has been fiercely undercut to 30-40k.
There's barely anyone buying the Uraeus Body Armor at 10k.. idk why..
Taffeta Cloth went to 350k then noone's buying, now back down to 90k after oversupply.
Taffeta Loincloth went starting from 350k to 600k for a while, then back down to 280k with barely anyone buying.
I heard some people are also just waiting till last day to buy.

It's actually quite interesting how it's collapsing.

I think it's because of the elusive Gysahl Ring that not many people have and can only get with 18-hour ventures. If you started venturing on Friday, you would only get around 4 tries per DoW/DoM retainer. So if there's little chance in getting 100 points, why bother getting the expensive, top-scoring gear?

But I think you're also right in people waiting till the last day. Tomorrow is the last chance for retainers to find a Gysahl Ring. I still have my fingers crossed with mine.

Taffeta Cloth is also a retainer item, so for anyone doing it solo, even more RNG.

Personally, with the ring and cloth being a bit out of reach for me, the gloves out of my level range, the ears in content I can't access, and the body armor being the only thing reasonably accessible, I just wrote this week off with a standard "didn't even try" attempt. I guess probably with the whole "cumulative score" unlocking the shop, I shoulda at least dyed some stuff, but, eh.

That's basically how I play this minigame: Come in the exact same stuff each and every time until he likes it.

And knowing SE inertia, I'd not be surprised if I got the rewards from it before they add new ones anyway.

The Royal Seneschal's Fingerless Gloves dyed lav purple netted me 3 stars, just enough to push me into the 82 mark. So if anyone needs gloves and you have them from the event, go for it.

Any gloves that's dyed lavender purple this week will give at least 3*.
1* undyed, which is your gloves, dyed with lavender purple, will be 3*.
