Thankoo judges. Just wanted to say, on my round 2 I wanted it to be dark. I was going for a Christmas card look, lit up pretty village. In hindsight I needed the Wind up sun. I only just found out how to get it. xD

Sorry for double pose but wanted the tally separate. I'm sorry you feel that way Val. :( I can understand though, it is frustrating when people criticize without being constructive. When people comment things such as too dark I assume they mean it would be better with wind up sun or daylight. When they just say I like it. But I didn't vote for it. I assume they mean they liked the others more. When they just outright say they don't like it, well that is a pain, tell us why! I hope people do keep voting for you though! I love seeing your stuff. If people do ignore your wish to be voted out, maybe you could avoid the voters comments. Just have a peek at the other pics then relax in here. :3

I'll add a note to the main threads from now on saying "Please leave only constructive criticism!" but I can't promise anything will come from it.

Please ignore any negative comments. You're pictures are good, otherwise I would have said "please retake them!" haha.

Val, don't give up and definitely dont feel bad. The votes from voters are purely subjective and just because someone doesnt care for a pic, doesnt mean it's bad. Personally i stressed (am still stressing) when picking 1 picture to submit for each round. I second guess each one, start to hate them all and literally get a tummy ache just making a decision. Unlike Tyra's version where the models best shot is chosen for them, we dont get that luxury. So we are all left to our own judgement to send in the best pic we can. Talk about nerve wracking

You take great shots, dont ever doubt that. just ignore the votes and comments and hang in here with all of us. I knew this round would be rough for me as my modem decided to die this week and i couldnt get on line long enough to retake my photo until it was too late to resubmit so, im pretty sure you'll be safe. When i go, i'll drown my sorrows in a giant bowl of ice cream and root for the rest of you

After discussing it with Lady Val, here is the official ENTM statement regarding her situation. xD

"Since nobody can withdraw, Valentina has no control over if she stays or goes. Voting and Judging will continue as normal, and it will be the voter's choice to vote for Valentine or not based on any reason they choose."

When I looked through the photos yours stood out to me in a good way for sure. I think it's one of the most creatively executed of the bunch.

It's just always nerve-wracking whether the voters will appreciate it or are looking for more model-esque and simple.

Eeek oh dear. Is it too late for you to change it Rongi? You could tell people who have voted to have another look in case they want to change a vote?

Or the picture could be updated and then perhaps the judges could give her an extra 3 points (or however many votes would place her near the middle) to make up for the mix up?

Changed! And you've been given +3 points for now for my mistake! Kaelah make sure you tally those in! In the event she gets more votes, making it apparent to everyone that her pic would have been voted for by the first two pages of voters, I'll give her more accordingly. But for now she is in the top 7 and safe. Sorry! While I was setting up the breakfast and doing laundry here at work, I thought about a general "what can all the models do better?" list...this is, of course, my opinion! and I can't speak for the voters. I just looked at the top scorers of each round and some are very scenic, some are humorous, and some just give off good vibes.

1) Centering yourself. Use this sparingly, and use it well! Morina Winterfell's starshot in Cycle 1 was absolutely beautiful. It was centered, but she was facing the right. Had she just been centered and doing any other pose, it would have been a boring image. Instead of centering yourself, have yourself off to the side of the image. (( Remember that you can have a friend take a screen shot OF you instead. Use this ability to your advantage!)

2) Background. For scenic shots, aim for wide and vast backgrounds. Try to have your body from the mid-thigh up, and have the horizon around your hip. Unless it's a night shot, or a sunset shot, aim for something bright and sunny! Cloudy can work too if you get the right cloud shape. For battle shots, use the background to frame you and the mob you are attacking.

3) Telling a story. Stick with simple, easily visible stories in your shot. "Looking for somebody." or "Out hunting for food." are easy to pick up on by the viewers/judges and give your shot an overall boost. Yes all shots have stories, but if it's over complicated or not easily understandable from a glance at your shot, a viewer might miss it. (And yes, there is always the risk that the story will be misinterpreted, but nothing can be done about that. ><;)

4) Outfit and Posing. Last weeks winter shot was a great example! Kin and Vahns shot looked identical, except she was posing and he wasn't. It affected his Judge's scores (id say voters too but it could have been guys voting for a sexy miqote that affected that, so can't prove anything.). Finding the perfect pose is important. I can't say for sure which ones work best, but play around and hope for the best. Outfits can be pretty hit or miss as well, but try your best to fit the theme and play with color. Don't rely on gear that SE colored themselves. Dye your own!

and 5) Try not to be sexy in every shot. Try not to be doll like in every shot. Try not to be adorable in every shot. Change it up or risk becoming boring to the judges (and maybe voters, but can't prove that.)

Tally update. Including the 3 judge score for Yuni's pic being wrong.

Yuni, don't be a sad panda! Like I said if you shoot up in the ranks it will prove those first voters may have voted for you as well, and I'll give you more points. I can't give you 10 points because no one can prove all 10 would have voted for you ya know? But I can give you 1/3 of that number for now and see what happens for the rest of the round. If 30 more people vote and you get 15 votes, then you have a 1/2 ratio, which means you'll get a 2-3 more bonus points for my mess up. But if you only get 10 out of those 30 votes, then you're are at a 1/3 ratio, which is what I based the bonus points off of in the first place. If you get 30/30 votes (O.O!!!) then thats a 1/1 ratio and youll get 10 bonus points, since apparently your picture was so good EVERYONE voted for you after it went up.

And you can tell the voters to revote no problem there. Some of them read this, so will see the conversation and revote if they want to.

But most importantly remember that, and this goes to everyone, the only position in the line up the means anything is LAST place. It means ADIOS! Sayounara! All the other positions are just there to raise your heart rate. xD don't worry so much about your scores.

Edit: Ahhhh now your email makes sense. No no, that's 99% most likely not how cycle 2's finale is gonna be decided.

I noticed some images were a little pixely. For your shot make sure to rise your settings for maximum quality! then turn them back down for your gameplay. Also everyone take into consideration that the farther away your character is from your third person view the less it will render out!! Games do this to save some juice and run smoother especially in online games.

Im sad Santherelle did not want to participate. I havent posted the model video yet (waiting for cycle 2 to end) Because I was worried it would give her and Max an advantage and no one else really took interest in helping me collect footage for the videos.

She was a great model to capture video and screen shots of great to work with!! Santherelle post some of the shots I got of you!! That one of you on the stairs was so gorgeous!!

Also question: is there a way to get screenshots to not be centered without having to target/lock-on to something? With certain poses it interrupts emotes as I turn around to face whatever I'm targeting. In the open world using minions for it is (usually) easy enough.

Both of your photos made me think of pirates of the carribean. Kurri looked like she belongs on Davy Jones's ghost ship and Yours made me think of how Jack Sparrow would react if the black pearl was crashed like your background :D

Yuni I voted for your pic!! I liked it, even though you had your hand at your head like you were searching, it came off to me as you spun around and someone or something snuck up on you. I liked that you made the same pose that alot of others used appear as a different scenario than just searching.

I was for ages! But now I am happy with it. :3 I couldn't coordinate my gear for my first idea because I hadn't leveled the right class to equip the right stuff, so I had to change my idea. I like it now though. Was very tough though! Will be an interesting round.

I wanted to share with you folks a screenshot I took on one of my alts, in hopes that MAYBE someone can clarify to me exactly how I managed to get a spirit image of myself =O! Its been driving me crazy, I don't use any programs, just the basic "take a screenshot of your page" button. Its been driving me nuts!
