It is currently 9/23 in game at the moment but a day passes by at roughly a rate of 1 day per 2 real hours I would say? Correct me if someone has a better estimate.

Hopefully you are right. I can't imagine them starting this so soon, if the date was all the way in july. By mid may the mysterious GM would be no more exciting then a leve quest. He would stop talking in poems, and just start shouting "Please someone notice me!!" So hopefully in the next week we will have the destruction of Eorzea, or something like it.
I'll try out some numbers with your math estimates I guess. I'm hoping that the date I am assuming the guy is talking about is in-game time as well because real-life has various time zones to think about while the game is the time is the same across the world.
9 full months (Oct-June) = 270 hours
+ 7 remaining days for September = 8 hours~
+ 6 days into July = 7 hours~
Total: 285 hours = 12 days~ from now to be July 6th in-game time
Someone should double check my math though. This is an estimate with a 30 day calendar system which I think the game runs on.
Rright now it's the 9th month
I believe there are 32 days in an Eorzean month and 8 days in an Eorzean week
it's about 1 hour and 15 minutes in rl = 1 Eorzean day
and 30 hours for a full moon cycle or 1 month
so 32 days would = 30 hours
and if it's the 9th month now out of 12
so that's about 10 Eorzean months from now til the 7th month
10 x 30
300 RL hours estimate
so about 12 1/2 RL days estimated
The hatching tide event suppose to end on may 9th
I think the last patch was on the 25th? So I think that's 15 days between the two. I don't know how accurate any of this math or thinking is. I'm pretty tired. ^^:
