So they essentially made a Korean Monster Hunter?

The game looks and feels generic, but does not play so.
Whether that's enough will be seen.
The game doesn't look and feel generic, but plays like crap.
FF's have never been about good gameplay though, so we'll see what happens.
Hyperbole i say. HYPERBOLE!!
on serious note, yes it does looks and feels generic, FFXIV wins in terms of quality graphic-wise, but SE doesnt have the creativity to fully utilize it. There are no, not a single interesting object in Thanalan, most of the times i just alt-tab while running.. that is how bad it is.
A GODAMN DESERT WITH BIG ASS SQUIRREL, UGLY ASS RENDERED BUSHES, ALSO CACTUS HERE AND THERE.. WELL SOMETIMES A PIESTE IN FRONT OF ULDAH GATES TO SCARES NEWBIES AND ADD SENSE OF ADVETURE! ALSO RANDOM AIRSHIP THAT PASSED BY BUT NOT RIDE-ABLE HEHEHEHE^^
Combining the fact that 95% of population only plays at Ul'dah, it makes things worse because that is all i see everyday. Q_Q
True enough, but the game isn't even striving to be over-the-top (and that doesn't translate to "creativity", rather the lack of it). I am still more interested in getting to know about the areas in XIV, TERA's philosophy is to make a pretty area and that's it. May work for their audience, but it's really not what S-E should be striving towards.
If the only reason to progress in TERA is getting to fight cool bosses that mean nothing and to get hawt lewt, I don't think this game and that game are even in direct competition with each other.
Good job derailing the thread guys -_-
