There still needs to be some motivation to keep queuing the roulette and queue it more than once per day. 10 Lore a day means nothing when you cap out on Thursday and depending on your luck you could end up in an EX Primal with people who do not want to learn for 90 minutes.
The rewards are there for those who are truly dedicated to mentoring. I Hope Mentor Will Notice Me VI is just untenable for anyone unwilling to queue the Mentor roulette more than one time per day. It would take nearly 5 and a half years of queuing to complete it only queuing once per day and over a year queuing it 5 times a day (which does not have much of a reward after the first).
You got a point, a good one. wich leaves me with 1 thing to say; DRK misses something, at least it feels that way. i main DRK and only got WAR to 60 since 2 days ago and must say Tanking with WAR is the best thing ever as it is a beast in ALMOST every situation. (if you use mitigation properly). you have more options and ofc more risks too and i like that. i just dont think they should be that much of a beast while MT with the defiance buffs and all but thats imo.
Yes, but in the event of a screwup, you could just quickly exit, take care of it, and requeue again without much hassle (unless it was a roulette)Quote:
Um...those are things you need to check before queueing in the first place.
This has happened to me many, many times over the course of various PF'd duties, and I don't even use the PF all *that* much.
Yeah, people will just have to be more careful from now on, but it's still kind of a silly change that wasn't necessary in the first place (assuming there actually is anything different after 3.3 compared to the system beforehand and the screenshot isn't just lying to us)
I think SE designed Warrior as Dark Knight before they realized they wanted to add Dark Knight... Actually, I recall a suggestion for Marauder to branch into Dark Knight as a DPS that converts enmity into damage... Things like Bloodbath and Vengeance just scream Dark Knight IMO, Storm's Path and Inner Beast too, and Raw Intuition just makes no sense to me... Dark Knight historically had a sacrifice HP for damage skill, and while that makes no sense for a tank (though I'd trade Marauder cross-class skills for Lancer and Blood for Blood, though that was more when Dark Knight had serious TP issues), Raw Intuition adds a risk (albeit one removed by Awareness IIRC) for 100% Parry, which Dark Knight would love for Low Blows/Reprisal...
I'm not sure what exactly I would have preferred for AST (I liked the suggestion bandied about ages ago involving Nocturnal Sect being more about card buffs and card-related skills, with Diurnal being the "healing" sect, and scrap the whole regen/shield effects on their abilities to be something more unique), but I will agree with you that my interest in this job has plummeted the more they continue to homogenize it with WHM/SCH.
While a great WAR is as easy to heal as a good DRK or PLD, an average WAR (even many "good") is a pain to heal.
Defiance boosts HP by 25% and healing received by 20% (and lowers damage by 25%. Yes, WAR lose a full 1/4 DPS in tank stance), but Grit and Shield Oath reduce damage by 20% (Grit lowers damage by 20%, Oath by 15%) It sounds like WAR is better on paper, but really, DRK and PLD are still taking less adjusted damage (and are easier to heal). Reactive healing vs preventative mitigation. It does matter.
