You think I have time to read 17 pages of trolling? But thanks for the post anyway, people always make it out to be the end of the world.

EDIT: Gargh, you're too fast, Takinagi. XD

But aren't the Ifrit quests considered a GC quest? In that case, the above will apply to the Ifrit quests as well. I'm assuming since you need to be a Private of a company to battle Ifrit, it is considered a GC quest. Therefore, the above will apply to it.
Nonetheless, I can see how and why people are panicking and discussing this. I truly hope, if I'm wrong, that the bonus is nothing more than grand company seals, dark matter, or something universal instead of unique and untradeable.
But sometimes, people just have to cool off; for one, it's the weekend. You expect them to jump on here in the middle of the weekend and give us an answer? I'm waiting to Tuesday, because that's when most of you American and Europeans peeps get going on Monday.
For two; I don't really think it's that much of a big issue. It won't break people's choices of what GC they're joining; it's certainly not affecting the linkshells I'm on. It won't break immersion; it won't clump up the streets of Ul'dah; it's not a big issue. Relax people. Those who are discussing, good. Those who are panicking; chillax. :D

True, but I do expect people to realise not everything is 100% confirmed, and perhaps at least 1 person will be willing to do some background research. This is what comes from multiple topics on relatively the same subject; one post to counter all the arguments, the other topics continue rolling. But yes; we shall see how it turns out.
Until then, everyone just relax and discuss. No more panicking, no more whining, no more analogies to fruitcakes and bananas, no more end-of-the-world scenarios involving different GCs, just sensible, reasonable discussion.
In addition to your point about having to be affiliated with a GC in order to start the quest line going (and in addition to my earlier post), I'd like to point out one more thing: only the r25 quests are differentiated between the GCs. You'll note that the r50 quest has no city name next to it, indicating that it's one blanket quest for everyone. . .
there is a poll been taken to what GC ppl will join. as it stands right now all 3 are pretty close with the highest only having 38percent, if ppl really do join like this there will be enough GC companions to go and fight these big primal battles
PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD~!!! AM SICK OF THESE COMPLAINT'S AND WHINING ABOUT LITTLE THINGS....WHEN DEV TEAM HAVE OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF TO WORRY ABOUT.
