atleast i can sit back and watch PLD thread blow up
My thinking is this may be the first opportunity in a long while where LD's actually being seriously examined, considering that the damage output this expansion (meant to take advantage of the new "active" mitigation style of timing a block in the first few seconds) means TBN itself isn't able to do the job of three other mitigation skills on its own anymore like it has been since its introduction, so people are actually seeing LD's deficit outside of raids.
With a community-wide decrying of DRKs feeling left in the dust by the changes that came to other tanks, being significantly harder to heal than other tanks, the introduction of a new healer they're likely watching like hawks (who cannot pull a DRK out of WD without a surplus of resources that were likely spent keeping them out of LD), etc... this is prime time to actually call attention to LD's failings, rather than just tossing it onto the pile of wishlisting for an "otherwise okay" job.
Yeah, really not a fan of CnS/AD sharing recast at all. I get Drk dmg output is up there right now, but their self heal is a joke compared to other tanks entirely.
So if I may ask, aside from the fact that AD is part of the DRK's sustain, why is the cry more for separating C&S from AD instead of having C&S also heal, since AD for its part at least restores MP?
I mean don't get me wrong, if they're going to connect the two ostensibly to reduce oGCD load, at least commit to making C&S the single-target version in every relevant manner and have it give a juicy life-leech. Possibly even a solid opportunity to have it heal more versus a single target than AD.
But consensus seems to be to disconnect them. Is this just about damage output? Does that reversion include removing the MP drain from AD? Where are we here, I'm genuinely curious, not a rhetorical question.
It's restrictive and AD is objectively shittier then the other tanks "60s" sustain options. Especially in fights with less then 6 enemies.
AD was at it's best in HW/SB when paired with Blood Price. Sustain was good and was fun to press.
Now it's either do good damage or do shit damage with a shit heal.
