PSA - Cleric Stance and vote kicking

OMG that so true!! Why am I even doing damage myself as a summoner? I mean I have my bird for that right? And since I have one (useless) healing skill as a ability and since I can play they way that I want I will help the healers out with my heals and let the egi do the magic. (So I would still dish out damage in a way)

Its kinda funny that people are often saying that they hate "icemages", yet if we take the arguments of some only healers then that should be fine right? Nobody said that they have to use all their skills and maybe they just dislike hotness and thus only cast ice spells. Why hate them for that? I mean as long as DPS checks are reached? They are still doing damage right?

(And yes I know that this is over the top, but I am kinda tired of tanks and DDs always getting the hate if they do it wrong but somehow we should not do the same with healers even if they have more than enough time to do something else than healing)

Being a healer I must say I understand perfectly well why some of us don't want to DPS. It's something we didn't choose to do in the beginning.

Now, most of players are geared up and the content has become clearly too easy. Just healing in dungeons means doing close to nothing. So I do DPS but frankly, I don't like it. I chose to play a healer and it's bad enough I have to DPS to get through quests (yes I know its a bit extreme :), now I'm supposed to do the same while playing with a party.

But for now it's seems to be reasonable to DPS. Then again, with SB, in the beginning I suppose you'll see plenty of healers just healing because the content is new. So I suppose this expectation of DPS depends largely on the context.

In fact, I wish there was a content that gave me enough to do as a healer and I do hope that future developments will confirm the pure healer role and do not make out of us some kind of hybrids.

It be very dumb if they kicked healers when they will be in a short supply. If do might take you hour to get another. Why should healers dps to when a lot dungeon party's I am in tank can't even hold agro when just using cure on them or another player.

Considering most people have FCs and linkshells to rely on, that's not likely at all.

In addition to the fact that there may not be a shortage of healers. I think people who planned to main a healer before the classes were announced are still going to main a healer after we found out there wouldn't be a new healer.
