Thank you very much for the response I really appreciate it and I've had my miqo since 1.0 so she is quite different, also the coat is the Kirimu Coat Dyed Pure White. :)

It's possible I could be biased, but personally I favor the the darker aesthetics of the Xaela for that particular character. She feels very unified with a coherent theme to her appearance. Also, I notice the image URL for those last couple images are the same so I can't comment on your second question.
So there's something that's been on my mind lately and I'm curious to hear what people think. I don't plan to change my race, but for a long time I've been conflicted about my character's skin tone which I had adjusted on a couple occasions already. At a certain point I decided to try thinking outside to box. I started experimenting with grey hues rather than the more natural coloring that I've had thus far and was pleasantly surprised. I don't dislike her current appearance, but the grey tone does have a certain alluring quality.

Posing in varied lighting:
@Kathryn, sometimes people take a few days to respond. Personally I like your Au Ra, she is just gorgeous!
@Iromi, it's the Kirimu coat, which is BRD/MCH only. There's a non job locked version, the Uraeus Coat.
@Rixas, I like the light horned version better, they stand out more against the dark character features. For the eyes - looks like the same picture, I can't see a difference.
Blah my mistake about the eye color

I like the warm brown better :)
I know this should never be a criteria, but..grey is a bit boring as it is very common. Most female Au Ra are either natural but light skinned OR some shade of grey/blueish-grey.
So I always enjoyed it when I stumbled upon a screenshot you posted somewhere :)
Also, as it is a more reddish shade, it makes the darkblue of the scales and eyes pop so much more beautifully ^^
I can see that. For me the reason I keep asking this thread is I feel like my character design isn't really well received. This was my original design http://i.imgur.com/wPlM1xc.jpg
and now I am using

Honestly between the two which design do you think is better?
I think your 2nd design is much better, imo of course.
I.e. this one:
Good job.
I've been an Au Ra for about a year and a half now. Getting the itch to change.

Never been a midlander...

I like the warmer colour better.
I like this best, the eyes pop more.
I honestly like both, I can see why you are torn. The second one looks more demonish/succubus if that is what you prefer. The first has a warmness to her, probably thanks to the warmer skin and cute hairstyle.
I was messing around in character creation and came up with this midlander and thinking about switching. But I also like my Elezen too, so I don't know.

I like your AuRa more, but I understand the itch all too well.
I need help from this thread too, btw :p
I had planned all year to go back to Lala for Christmas when the winter sale comes around, but can't decide on a look now x)

I really like my violet eyes and would like to carry them over to the pretty jewelry-like eyes of the Dunesfolk :o Also just generally like that gentle face.

But I also always wanted to try blue eyes for once, and thought blue and white make for nice winter colors..? The face is a bit more impish but with soft round ears to not make it too mean-looking

Or should I just do something completely different this time and go more for a rl look? xD
I prefer the second one; blue/white.
..Not biased at all or anything...
Thinking myself of going with this look as soon as Starlight Celebration begins.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Sexylander, but I think it is time for a change.
^ I would go with the Au Ra
I'de stay with the Sexylander, she actually looks very good ! The Au'ra looks very generic (yeah, weird from an Au'ra player but if I had the ability to create sucj a Highlander I would not play Au'ra ^^")
*by the way, if you don't keep the Sexylander can i get your template ? ^^"
Well, since both got exactly the same amount of votes and likes, this didn't help at all xD
I ended up combining #1 and #2 into one and went with face/ears/eyes of #1 and hairstyle/color of #2^^

Thanks everyone! :o
I tried to cut the middle a bit to see if this works

Only problem I see is I think the head blends a bit too much
But I'm not sure if I like the warm or cool colouring more:

Compiling feedback!
@Evergrey: Thanks for the vote! Was glad to see grey get at least one vote. I went into it believing that grey would be less popular opinion, but at the very least I think I identified to right tone if I were to go down that route.
@Rixas: Choosing between a grey tone or something more natural has been a long debate for me. My original Miqo'te was grey, but ultimately I decided to add more "warmth" to her appearance. Au Ra followed suit, but I've considered looping back around.
@Atoli: Oddly enough, the reddish hue is something I've been trying to stray away from, haha. It was previously more noticeable and my most recent fantasia was an attempt to pull away from that. But I do certainly appreciate the feedback about how her current appearance is less common. :)
@Zumi & Kaelah: Thanks for the feedback! The more natural look does seem to be the more popular opinion, but I wouldn't consider that a disappointment. There's a reason why the natural look is the appearance that I currently use.
Thanks everyone! At least for the time being I don't feel the need to change her current appearance, but I'm going to keep the grey tone on the back burner in case I ever feel compelled to change, even if only temporarily.
Thought that I might drop in, since I decided to Fantasia this morning. :o
