That might hold true to american MMO makers like Blizzard. But that interview with Yoshida showed he is human. That he does deeply care about the players, and not just their wallets. If anything, american MMO developers need to take note of Square Enix, and their relationship with their fans. Your negativity does not reflect this game or its developers.
