Right, and Europeans are obviously evil. Remind me who the racist was again.

I just don't see even the slightest of resemblences.
I didn't live any of those moment myself because I aren't that old. and like I have said this is part of history. history is a bloody no matter what and how you see it that is the sad truth of this world. and of they would do something similar to the Nazi as you said well I do think we already have something that look like it. I don't think it's question of caring I just think and will say this people are easily offended on the internet then I do suggest those person to not be on the internet. yes they can be against it I will understand very well But no one lived those time still. that is my point calling people racist or whatever it is because you don't agree with a gear set isn't also acceptable.
Deeply frustrated and disappointed in square enix.
You'd think someone would have voiced concerns at some point in the dozen or so stages of approval in the development pipeline here.
This is so bafflingly insensitive and upsetting, so baffling it should be obvious.
They're alienating the people they were appealing to with dawntrail's release. Why spend so much effort in lovingly honoring latin-american culture only to release something so blatantly offensive.
I already know several people canceled subs over this. Hopefully square will do something or at the very least apologize. They're running out of second chances tho.

This entire line of reasoning is stupid outrage bait born of ignorance and a desire to start fights. I have Latino family members and none of them would think this is a conquistador's outfit if you showed it to them. The armor plating, silhouettes, helmets, and patterns look nothing like the armor of actual Spanish invaders.
