Careful pal, this much truth will net you a lot of scorn.
I couldn't believe what we actually got during the Garlemald stuff, I was hoping for a really nice elaborate design but it's just... a fluffy jacket with hideous modeling.

Expansions are huge in this game. Volume is never an issue. Personally I'd like different types of content rather than the same stuff every year, but people would just math it out and complain that we went from 74 corridors down to 45. They had to stop selling the game because it's too popular, so my personal preferences don't really matter.
To be fair, it's a combination of different factors. Perhaps most importantly, the servers simply aren't able to handle the player load they were faced with. A lot of people are stuck at home with more free time than expected and so MMO's are making a bit of a comeback as a consequence. WoW has also been infused with controversy after controversy for a while and a lot of people decided to quit and find something else to play. However, GW2 and ESO have also been seeing renewed interest and they have been around for about as long as FFXIV has.
Even with WoW's decline, though, FFXIV is seeing more popularity but it hasn't reached the same numbers as WoW during its 'golden era' nor is it likely to do so with the insistence on playing it safe at every possible turn.
I do think FFXIV is the best option on the market at the moment, but that isn't saying much given the competition.
They forget we get free 89 unique gear for each job from a vendor instead of grinding it in a dungeon, that scales to 90, and you expect them to remember how content is released? Pfffbbt...
Or that we'll be getting info on the island sanctuary later?
Or that ShB was the unique expansion that gave a mount for leveling all combat jobs?
Or That PvP content is coming later?
That normal gear has been re-skins since HW?
Not sure they do realize, could be wrong though! People want it right now, all of it!
It's pretty irrelevant in the first place. I'm pretty sure if you look historically at MSQ, in Hevensward we got the Dragon mount and Manacutter, comparatively in Stormblood we got the Yol Mount, comparatively in Shadowbringers to my knowledge the MSQ saw no presence of a mount, yet an Amaro added as a reward for all classes to 80 (in 5.0). Comparatively Endwalker has a certain unlockable from the final quest of the MSQ. Not to mention the Calydontis from Khloe's Gold Certificate, or the Wivre mount for Gemstones.
You could just argue they decided to stick the reward back into the MSQ (Which historically had always been the case anyway) as opposed to the mount being unlocked via maxing all jobs.
That free unique gear at 89 is literally no different than the gear we got at 70 and 80. It’s the af gear. They just released it at 89 so they could scam us out of getting an 89 gear set from the 89 dungeon. People realize reskins have always been a thing, it’s the fact that they’re far more rampant than they’ve ever been. Like someone else pointed out, we got no tataru glam at the end of shb and we finally got one for EW but it’s literally a reskin, not even unique.
Curiously, last I checked the 79 gear in ShB was just reskins of the level 50 gear from WoD. The level 80 Job Quest gear was the Weathered. Not sure how any of it's a scam, as your words make zero sense since they literally give it to you earlier on and let it scale even. If anything, that's a boon.
