Stop abusing the term elitist, liking my server and current community and not wanting to be forced to leave them doesn't really qualify as elitism.

I never played on any other servers, but based on how much you people *&(^ about them I guess they must be pretty crappy in comparison.

You people have no sense of humor and have just turned your white knighting of a decision that many people are unhappy with, into a three page attack on me.

They should just merge servers like every other MMO, and then allow transfers for those who want them. Seriously, how about instead of calling me names you post why you are so adamant in your defense of depriving us the chance to at least try to keep our current server community intact.

I like my server, I can stay with it.

My server in that scenario is better right? Seeing as how I want to stay, and you want to leave yours?

Other people want to stay on their server too so their servers are obviously equal to Selbina.

Bad servers are those servers that people want to leave (like you wanting to leave your server by not having a straight merge). They are of course only bad for the people who don't want to be on them, some might enjoy them.

What is confusing about this?

You are saying that Selb is the best server and everywhere else is inferior, that is elietism.

Also your suggestion would still cause raging, Karnak merges with Besaid, people say "FFS I hate RPers, I'm moving, whos coming with me" "not me I kinda like it here" and communities are still split up, SE are in a no win situation, they will have people raging over anything they do.

You don't know what server you are going to end up on though. You might be able to avoid the "official RP server", but you have no added choice under their current plan. They have just deprived those of us who want to stay with our server that choice.

This thread is like the antithesis of how feedback should be produced, btw.

My suggestion: Rename all the new servers with new names. Remove the transfer window, and let the chars unsubbed or unlogged hang in the ether until they log in for the first time after the merge, giving them unlimited time to chose a server, and not be randomly placed.

This is seriously hilarious. Either you are missing the point or can't read. No doubt the reply you give back on this one will be as much of a fantasy as the other ones you dish out. Seems like you are telling yourself things in order to come back with a reply to justify why we want to leave our servers. If I can read the posts correctly.....we have not said it once.

You are just giving folk more ammunition to not be part of you're superior elitist gaming life which is greater than anyone elses.

The only thing about this is from what I understand, it only takes peak JP playtimes into consideration. So for example, my server Rabanastre for whatever reason has a low JP population and a higher NA population. I'm sure there are other servers like this.
