So when does SE plan to credit our accounts for the multiple ongoing service issues?

It doesn't change the fact that very few things can be done to stop or even manage DDoS.
You can still try to look for how to find the persons doing it and DDoS them unstead but good luck with that.
And for those asking for compensation. SE would need to go case by case since it's different with every one. So it's impossible. The easier I though about was an option to freeze your sub so that you don't lose sub day during the time you can't play. It may be unfair since some can play but, what else can be done really? Nothing, it would have been done by then otherwise. Blaming SE is nice and all but won't change how it is. I don't think they're more happy than those complaining and the others about the situation.

The outage maps all indicate slow or no internet in many regions today. Some of us are doing fine, like myself. However, FFXIV is the only thing completely unplayable for me. Somehow everything is functioning well for me except for this game. I don’t expect compensation of course, but I’m not able to justify my sub, which is sad for me and my friends.

It is not on SE to purchase routing plans/options, thats not really a thing on the customer end. Its the ISP job to route traffic around affected nodes regardless of who is sending/receiving the traffic and if the ISP doesn't have the infrastructure to have backups that is solely on the ISP, not their customer. Net Neutrality is kind of a different subject to this issue though but yes there is prioritized traffic on the network; as Baingoleth said traffic from more important sources like banks or the government will get higher priority in the network and sent through first if there congestion.

Exactly, its not their fault and they've met their contractual obligations. SE does not owe us more. The ISP has an obligation to SE to fix this issue because SE is paying them for a service that isn't being delivered. SE has an obligation to work with the ISP to fix the issue, or if the ISP can't, find a new ISP; SE is also doing this so, again, they've met their obligations. There is no legal ground for demanding compensation from SE.

I'm not saying players shouldn't be upset over the situation, I'm saying they should blame the parties responsible, not SE. Go blame NTT for not solving the issue or go blame the basement troll for the DDoS attack in the first place.

I could NOT raid tonight because of this rubberbanding. These is so constant it's becoming annoying. I really think that we need to move the servers to a more central location in NA.

howbout I'm already 2000+ miles away and I don't want my connection to be any worse? Yes I'm still a US player. It's not the location that's the problem though, it's major internet backbones being DDoS'd. Blame the assholes who have such petty lives. SE , for once, is blameless.
