Goodbye to the lots of you come thursday

I've not even had the time to play the last week anyway (well more month really lol), which made my decision final.
But aye I'll be one of the ones out till at least 1.21 or .23 I think, an then dip in an out till 2.0.
I Honestly hope everyone staying has fun though. :)

For me I just don't feel like I have lots to keep me busy outside make Gil/grind classes.
I like exploring the world, lore and storys in games, then challenging content and finally stuff to keep me busy till more is added.

An the game has lots some of its more interesting features an depth since launch, while almost everything needed work, the middle of the road approach we have now has taken something from the game for me.
But overall at least a lot more is working and better now, other then those areas.

But again, Hopefully i'll be back soon.. ish.. :P

The comments are eerily similar though....how odd indeed! You can lie to me, but please, at least be honest to yourself.

The "SE is rich" argument is the worst one yet. If they are bleeding and know why it doesn't matter how much cash they're losing. No thriving company would say "but its only so little and we have cash so its okay". That way you will run out of assets in a decade.

I love how their are so many people who think they are allowed an opinion because the are willing to pay, just as well real life isn't like that, or perhaps some of you feel that would be better also.

That being said I was willing to pay but 1.20 doesn't have enough content to last til feb imo, so guess I'll wait til 1.21 drops.

How would them just shutting the servers down and scrapping it make you feel? you wouldn't be playing either way. At least this way something might come out of it in the end.

If it IS about money, they should've just shut the servers down and continue development to get this game done FASTER and get the holy grail that is 2.0 out the door so that they can get the money in as soon as possible.

The company is LOSING money maintaining the servers and continuing to develop for the old version of the game. All the subs are going to do is add a small bandaid to the money the game is bleeding.

That's why it still puzzles me that they decided to go the subscription route at this point. Even if the sub wasn't discounted, the money that they're receiving from those subs will be a drop in the bucket versus the money that is being spent paying for the devs and upkeeping their data centers.

I'm guessing at some point someone just wanted to see some positive black numbers in their bean counting, even if it's small.

They are going to charge the people who are crazy enough to still play this game.

Double post, but I'm staying. Stockholm syndrome, and I want to see the game evolve. Viion and Rowyne pretty much said what I felt. I'm not an XI veteran. I came from Phantasy Star Universe; the English PS2/PC version died in the states due to poor support by the Sega of America staff. I've lived through one poorly supported and mechanically flawed game, so I'm used to it. I'm willing to tough it out to see if Yoshida lives up to his word - to stick around to praise him and his team when he does good stuff, and to criticize him and his team when they do bad stuff.

I'll still probably be playing the game on a very casual basis - no more than a few levequests every few days and maybe an occasional faction quest with my static lowman group, but until I see some lowman content I probably won't be playing that often. Which is fine - I'd rather Yoshida finish 2.0 as fast as possible and DO IT RIGHT than him support the old game.

said it before i could. And the big ups must know how little players are in the game, and how only a portion are going to end up paying. Imagine how fast they could get 2.0 done if they just shut it all down and focused? Id honestly rather that then watch people forget about the game, or move on to another while they charge for this one, merge servers and get lots of new negative press. It wouldnt surprise me for a second if they started doing "is it worth subbing" reviews on the major game sites.
