You don't really need to count so much. With enough practice you'll be able to tell from a glance. As you are learning there are a few things that can help you:Quote:

Sophia is on the weak end along with Bismarck. The hardest fight for me was thordan ex. I'm not gonna complain how easy Sophia is before Zervun becomes manipulator 2.0.

this is not a laughable fight. It took us a good few hours for our group to get a rhythm down. The next week (this past Saturday night) we farmed the living garbage out of it. It CAN be done and if you think we're all pros, we aren't. It's just repetition and decent gear (especially for the tanks) and a massive DPS check. We still had a few mishaps, but our group is far from hardcore.
Now... if you want to bang your head against a wall, I suggest Thordan EX. A sadists wet dream... -

It's "extreme" for a reason, to eat your lunch if you don't do job mechanics. I tank all the extreme primals because it's fun.
Nidhogg without cooldown on Ala Morn. You could die.
Sephirot without cooldown for his telegraphed fists, you die.
Sephirot without cooldown for towers, you die and likely wipe the party
Thordan add buster, you don't pop a cooldown, you die.
Sophia green buster, you don't pop a cooldown, you die. Oh and you get knocked back too so positioning is important.
You see the green, pop Shadowskin or Shadowall. Done. Foresight is also good when its up because the buster is physical. Other tank should have already voked and have threat when you get pushed back since you stop hitting it.
It's not tank-and-spank land, if you want that the fine normal modes are there for that junk. -
