I like them too.

Its all personal preference. I dont go around to people with chars I think are ugly and tell them to go fantasia them and make them less ugly.

If we had huge summons like that with no change to gameplay, many people would just exclude summoners.

I want to be able to see and dodge mechanics, not have to work around a 30 foot tall angel thing.

Giant summons just get in the way. All these games people reference hardly have telegraphed fights.

What about giant summons as an option for solo game, but short summons during dungeons ?

Why would SE waste time making extra egi skins specifically for when you're solo though?

Makes no sense from a developmental efficiency standpoint.

Detail for the sake of detail isn't a good thing. I think those are kinda ugly too, not to mention too damn big.

I'll admit though, asking the devs to "re-do" one or two of the egis is a little bit much when I think far more people are likely waiting for Ramuh, Leviathan and Shiva- which is already low on the dev's "priorities" list, more so demanding current ones to change. But I also really wish people would stop with this "how dare you SMNs keep pestering the forums with your new egi glamour requests" mentalities; SMNs had been told they'd get new egis in the expansion which was retracted some time later when the devs inevitably realized they'd have to balance each and every one of them. In an attempt to placate us they mentioned glamour skins on egis instead which, when pressed on the issue, it (last we've heard) is apparently going to take a lot of work to model n' stuff. It's only normal for the SMNs to be asking for an update or timeframe on when we'll be seeing these glamours (because having just 3 summons was the norm across many games which included Summoners, right?)

I realize the thread is asking about redesigns of what we have, but if given the choice between remaining 3 primal glamours or a completely new Garuda (and apparently Titan), I'll go with diversity over still having the 3 traffic stoplight flavors.
