Why feel sorry for them now? Yoshida shoehorning classic Final Fantasy jobs is already going to do a number to the lore, you should be more concern about that than a few special weapons. With that said, I'm just glad they are unique models.

It's not like the weapons glow for no reason. They're made from the horns of Ifrit. I'd say that's a justifiable reason for a little flair on a hardmode reward.

Some people just can't be happy with anything.

Since release people have complained about reskinned items. I think they look great.

No one has said they did not look good. Infact I said that they looked great. I just hope they don't make this the norm to one-up each new piece of high end gear

Not a fan of the way the bow looks, but the lance looks like they can actually lift it and use it, at least (which is what I'd have to look at all day, since my husband loves his lancer :) )

And yes as someone who values the lore, the past few patches have been making my stomach churl. How is Materia going to tie into the game world? Are they gonna retcon everything so that materia is seen as an important offshoot of Aetheryte or is it just going to be there?

they have the whole backstory on Lodestone... where a goblin discovered the art and is introducing it to the races of Eorzea.

I was first against glowing-type weapons, but I actually like those. They are not too distracting and only "glow" when you engage.

Those weapons look amazing, do want the sword.

Maybe it does look something Korean like, but if I recall, they make pretty good character design. Their MMO's might be a hit or miss, but it is their visual style that brings players in.
