Okay, so now this is derailing, but to reply briefly:
No, Square have already admitted it's not my bank or the card, (and are prepared to whitelist it, temporarily.) It's something to do with attempting to reactivate both accounts on the same day. However, and more relevant to this discussion, I applied my free PS4 upgrade SKU to the first account before attempting to reactivate the second, and the second is now chucking out a 'FFXIV has never been played on this account before' error, which may well be the source of the card failure, since the message also tells me I need to apply a registration code to the account.
TD:LR - if applying the free upgrade SKU has wiped my second service account, how much faith do you think I have in them being able to maintain a working cash shop, with power to the one hundred weekly transactions?
