How about killing the the ghost around the boss in the orger fight. Then mabe the ghost drop a item to start those switchs in the captains room, how about killing all the ghost in batraal room too.
Have anyone tried something with the different winds coming out of the blue circles ?
Also, if anyone still have the quest in their journal in game, maybe there is some hint about that. Specifically about the mysterious energy floatting around, how it is affected by the different winds and all. Unfortunately I rushed those quests and now I completed them all, so I can't re-read the storyline summary anymore.
Maybe we can desactivate the lanterns in the captain's room thanks to the winds. There's also a fire just before the first teleport, I heard it is not always here. There probably is something to search here.
That's what we've been thinking, at least.

have you tried making sure all 3 of batraal's ring are down when he dies?
Our last run last night we got every chest, killed the ogre at the 45 minute mark, cleared the choco and drake room, no one ever got hit by any eye, popped Batraal before the 30 mark and killed before the 20 mark and not one person died. So the no death and no eye contact we disproved. Also on the run before we cleared all large rooms and side tunnels looking for placeholders to no avail.
Our next attempts consist of clearing all specific mob types per run, using Batraal to debuff the eyes and sending someone to the captains quarters mid fight to look for possible nodes.
