it's too late now. Once the first month is up some people will leave and most of them won't be back. Some people would say that's great, but it's going to hurt this game long-term.

I'm pleased to report that based on the replies so far, it seems the Japanese player-base too feels this is a major problem and has so-far gone unaddressed by Square Enix; without so much as a response.

Well this is a gamebreaker for me also, I am playing from Norway, @ a EU server.

To have servers for EU in Canada or Japan or whatever...... and crossover with US ppl on US servers in duty finder.....

EU servers need to be located in... suprise EU, and not play with other regions..... like US

They cheaped out on this, and will lose so many potential subbers.... next MMO please, I can easly forget my 40 euro for this.

Australians too are feeling this badly, me and my friends are thinking of dropping FF14 we are in upper 40's and cannot even pass lower dungeons thanks to network issues this game is having..

To much to dodge stats are almost meaningless. You get hit your dead. Even with half decent gear. I've never played a mmo like it. It's perma dodging its more like an arcade game

Then How do online First person shooters even exist?

Any FPS with this level of delay becomes UNPLAYABLE.
You can say "Those are different types of games than an MMORPG" but they use the exact same internet that YOU are arguing makes lag and delay that we are I guess just supposed to accept.
If ANY FPS had ARR's lag and delay issue, it wouldn't even be a game anymore, it simply would cease to exist.

To further this point OTHER MMORPGs DONT SUFFER FROM THE SAME ISSUE.

Okay I found a workaround to this since I too have latency issues. First I use fist of wind and set Enemy Cast UI Bar right in smack of the middle of the screen. I focus ONLY at the castbar, screw everything else it'll distract me for a rich amount of 0.1 second. Once I see a yellow pixel I FKING QUICKLY RUN THE FUCK AWAY I'll see that boss is still 50% done casting then I pray that my dodge was successful but this works 75% of the time.

wow, 58k views and not a single dev response.

So after i tried my Dragon in Titan HM i quit playng it.Waiting 40 min for a trie to get him down and fail so i started a WHM.Small que for anything like around 10 min more tries for me.
So i started with CM speed runs.The problem with casters its even worst.As a ml class u can hit run and move in the same time making more easy to adapt to the latacy problem but with a caster its realy realy worst.

Till this day if i am cought in the midle of a res circle aoe i am geting hit not mather wot i do and no mather if i move the second i see it and no mather how fast i run.In any uther dungeon its like 75% hp lost but in Titan HM is one shot and i am dead eaven if i am out of the red circle when it finish the cast i end up dead outside.
If any from SE will come here and say that me and uthers are just bad players and show me a video of them having this delay in fights and manage to do Titan HM i will subscribe but if no solution from them its in the making then bye

i have played wow for so many years and i didnt had issue with dodging and what not, but in this game its really horrible, you need to memorize the rotations for Titan Hm so you could be able avoid the plumes ahead of time, really hating the net coding of this game.

The thing I've noticed with Weight of the Land is that if I tried to do Titan during peak hours (7pm - 1am EST) I would have sporadic issues with getting out of it. There'd be times where I'd be certain I was about to get hit and then wouldn't, and others where I'd be actively moving when the AOE spawned and would be well out of it, but I'd get hit anyway. I would watch other people's movements and I'd see them inside WOTL or Landslide when it went off and nothing would happen. Off peak hours the issues evaporated and the only troubles I'd have performing mechanics were due to fatigue-derp.

I flatter myself that I'm usually pretty good at differentiating between situations where I made a bad choice and situations where I had no alternatives or indications of what choice to make. Titan HM was frustrating in ways that perhaps no boss in any game I've played has ever been because there was such a disconnect between when I thought I was failing and when the game thought I was failing. And people offering "just move predictively" as a solution, I notice, are almost universally non-caster classes. I am glad that works for you; it is not tenable for everyone.

For anyone wanting to take this issue to their social media, FFXIV keeps reposting the same "Buy what IGN calls a great MMORPG!" stuff on their Facebook as a highlight. I've made the following comment:

"Jesse David Great game. AWFUL NET CODE. Don't expect anything sort of snappy game play from this MMO. Dodging AOE and using instant cast abilities in this game are years behind the other MMOs on the market." · September 19 at 8:06am

So far it only has 4 likes, but I think if we can get it to the most upvoted commented on their facebook page they might get a little worried and become a little bit more communicative.

I honestly only have issues with Landslide in terms of latency. I know it can be easier to dodge, but when Titan snaps his position from facing one direction to another without any animations, one must wonder how good the latency is. Then he pops a Landslide on me, so I move what appears to be just out of the way in time when I end up flying off the side moments later. Could I maybe have dodged quicker? Maybe, but at the same time when I fly across the platform I'm not in the line of the attack.

What's worse than the latency is trying to explain it to other players. A lot just see it as an excuse, which if it were Garuda or Ifrit I'd be inclined to think so too, and it's difficult to maintain a group when everyone thinks it's pointless to try even when we almost got to Phase 5 the first time and things just had complications the second/third time(s). And no offense to you Veterans who are trying to help your friends out with this fight, but you guys are probably the worst out of the bunch when it comes to being abrasive. You beat Titan HM, congrats, but that doesn't mean you have to be rude to anyone having problems beyond their control at times.

@Trunks: I notice this too, especially with Landslide (I'm on EST as well), so it might be that peak hours cause the most latency. Sorry if that's obvious to more network-savvy individuals, but for me it's beginning to make a lot more sense. I was playing later the other night and noticed that even some of Ifrit's attacks were happening at strange times similar to that of WotL and Landslide.
