Now I have been getting 90006 errors. Is SE even looking into this?
I've been experiencing constant packet loss too... ended up getting 90006 and 90002 errors as well. Actions, mounts, teleporting as well as joining and leaving parties take minutes or won't even load at all. Fresh installed the game too.
so effin sick of 90006 and 90002 drops. obviously its all my fault, right Yoshi?
Same here, had no issues until Christmas day, when my connection just started being "poor" and the lag spikes made combat literally unplayable. All actions (even mounting) are lagging and after a while I just get disconnected. At this point I don't really care that I'm not doing dailies because trying to do them is more frustrating than just playing something else entirely. Not sure what happened but something's broken.
The problem is back. it got better from about 3pm EST onwards ytd. But now, the constant disconnecting and error of 2002, 90006 is back. :(
having this every time i log ive formatted pc installed the game 2x and rang my isp they cant help either its driving me nuts
this is really getting on everyone nerves you have the numbers of sell and the number of people playing it's not hard to figure out your limits having a huge queue is one thing but being 90k all the time no wonder the queues are small coz the game is unplayable atm and nothing from SE as of yet not even we know about the problem and we are working on it that itself would help cool people anger just a tiny bit but none that I could find
wahhh so im not alone on this one :(
pls SE fix this~ I want to keep playing this game
So I used to get error 90006 every day multiple time, I opened my router ports (the ones the devs said to open), flushed dns, changed IP, ran game as admin for 2 weeks now and the 90006 and 90002 stopped, didn't get dc/ed a single time in 2 weeks, So either their servers got more stable or something I did fixed it, I assume it's the ports
This is still going on, funny thing is, it's more prevalent in the evenings after 5:00 pm. I'm thinking as folks come home and school lets out the servers get more crowded and they can't handle it. They must know there is a problem, why don't they address it on their end and stop throwing it back on us.
I had the issue for months. Opened ports, created exceptions in firewall for every ff14 exe, disabled large send offload, disabled firewall, disabled AV, Tried direct ethernet to router, tried direct ethernet to modem, tried google DNS, Run only in Admin, disabled "energy efficient ethernet", contacted isp, contacted Sqenix support, created thread on tech support forums here. ISP couldn't find any issues, i have 500/500 fiber. Sqenix support said "you already tried everything we would tell you to do to resolve the issue. Must be your ISP" Thread in tech support received no response from Mods, even though other people with the same issue received mod responses. Also, running tracert or WinMTR to your Data Center's IP address will likely show you the issue that I found: Drastic packet loss on hop 11, or no response at all from that node. If you lookup that address via "Arin Whois" You will see that node is an NTT backbone node.
NTT America is the subsidiary of NTT, the Japanese based IT Company that Sqenix uses.
I gave up and let my Subscription lapse, because the game was unplayable for me.
Another day another round of 90006 disconnects for friends during their first time in a dungeon.
Fix. Your. Garbage. Tier. Routing. Fourth NTT Sacramento node is outright timing out connections now, cannot even bypass this junk with vpn.
I do not care anymore about hardware shortages or excuses. You are billion dollar corporation, get on NTT's booty to repair their ancient nodes or make concerted effort to drop them as company. Also do not care if they are Japanese. Start working with Western providers who understand NA infrastructure better than you appear to.
Jeezes jimmeny this has been going on sense 2014. If it continues I will finally cease playing and we love this game. It is not fun randomly getting disconnected and hoping your party does not blame you. Everything is stable on this end but try explaining that to tech illiterate party members. If my friends are reported for this there will be much feist.
Not even prime time, tis six in the fricken morning. If you are so unable to keep it up find someone who can.
Edit;
Discovered that routes through Canada are borked, forked, and storked. Anyone using vpn to route through Canada should switch away, LA has been working for this moment so would recommend that.
mostly on saturdays, only in dungeons/instances.
been happening for about a month now.
90k error, can usually log right back in after queue
I've been getting these errors mostly in the evenings (6pm onwards AEST) ever since moving to Ravana (OCE). back on my NA server I never had them.
Can barely play an hour before DC
such a mutli billion company...not sure if it worth to put my money into it.....
I'm getting this too. I can't even exist in game for more than a few seconds before I get dropped.
I've tried all their suggested fixes and nothing works.

I have the exact same problem as most listed in this forum. I play on north american servers and the data center Primal. I am from the United Kingdom and like to play late my time (11PM+). If i play during the day there seems to be no issue but as the servers start to congest around 12am GMT i start to suffer from mass discconections. I have never had an issue like this until the most recent patch.
I have followed many guides and steps to try combat this problem such as:
Uninstall and reinstall
Open up ports
check firewall
reset router / power down router
restart pc
Most of the times when i discconect is when i am in dungeons or trial instances. The other night i tried to do tam tara deepcroft hard and discconected about nine times until i gave up.
This is begining to get frustrating and im missing out on playing with my American friends.
The code i always recieve when disconnecting is the 90002 code and as i try to log in straight away the game tells me it needs to log my character out and i must wait, then once thats done im put back into a que to log in. Sometimes i can log in and within seconds disconnect immediately.
Please look into this and make it stable like it once was.
Oh wow I didn't realize it was such a big issue, kinda sad tbh that this seems to be such a huge issue and evidently IS on Sqenix's side as from what I've seen here it's most often if not always the 11th hop that's registered to a IP that's related to Sqenix.. Big sad. Anyways, I can't delete the thread I created but I guess I can post some info here too at least.
Here's my TraceRT:

I have this issue too. WinMTR shows 65% packet loss on 195.82.50.230. It seems the server or whatever is broken. I know semiconductors are hard to get but as you're able to put up some new datacenters i guess you could also fix this broken piece....
