i hope its a actual quest not run point to point then you have it. kinda like getting advanced jobs in ffxi.
hope the same for the AF where you have to actually work for it.

5 more days of febuary left.

Well there are supposed to be specific job monster battles as well as npc battles, so here's hoping for some nice duels/boss fights.

The Job quests themselves need to be epic, otherwise Yoshi needs to stop this now while he can.

I pretty much agree with this guy

If waiting til 6-9 Mar means that they will get it right I can happily wait. If people are right and the Dev team has been working on this for months in strength then I have no doubt that the job quests will be well involved and fun to do. So much time has been spent on this that they had to delay Hamlet Defense til 1.22. 1 big project atta time. This has so much potential out of the gate that I hope it is so.

It has to. Consider that in Mar we will have Patch 1.21 and any lettered follow ups. At the same time we will be in the middle of a World Merge. Some posters have said that there are multiple teams working on the various upcoming patches. SEs resourses are finite. In all likelyhood what you have is an advance team working on the preliminaries for 1.22 while the main team finishes up 1.21. Once that is done then they move to the next patch and the preliminary team moves on to the patch beyond that. This cannot help but to delay the entire process beyond the original dates posted. Hamlet Defense was pushed back because of the complexities. Patches 1.22 1nd 1.23 do not appear to be as involved as the past patches so hopefully they can make up some time there but I do not believe they can get totally back on schedule. That's fine....get it right the first time.

Guess I'll manage for another 2 weeks. Seems like it will be worth it.

This patch will be so epic! I don`t mind the delay at all. :D

Hehe. Now the "when will info come"-threads have arrived, which must mean info will soon follow. It's kinda like spring before summer - you see the little signs; small flowers, birds returning etc.

A lot of people on the JP thread where Yoshida originally posted were expressing great displeasure lol, complaining about delays, saying they want the patch on time no matter what, even if it has to be split, saying SE betrayed then because they only paid cause they were expecting the patch on time, etc, etc.

And you also forget, that Forums barely make the population of FFXIV, Alot of the Majority/Minority is kinda invaild on both sides... people on the game are playing having a good time, and when the patch comes it comes Mentality. I play the game as I should get other classes up to 50 ( which is only mages at this point) and when it hits..I will Enjoy my DRG

Except that the billing started on Januray 6th. So the next billing period started... that's right, February 6th. So you are telling me it's my fault for being a paying customer since the beginning of P2P. I guess SE should be glad you're not one of the reps, else I'd be out of here right here and now. If you use your logic, when SE was losing money for the past Year and nearly a Half, They been milking money away from themselves for way too long for us "customers" and now your saying they are milking us for money when they were the ones losing a TON of money to being with? They are a Company, A company that needs to make money like everyone else in a business does.

Have you ever thought that, they were seriously having problems with 1.21... They are having limitation problems, which is exactly why 1.22's Hamlet defense was on halt, because there's a lot in involved with it.. just like 1.21 is the largest patch for FFXIV ever, and I knew they would have problems with the Job System and there respective quest, because it is a Huge part of the game, alot of Balancing involved, Coding that needs to work with the game and with the limitation this game currently has.

March 6th-9th is Just a Normal date, Yoshi-P took the helm for a Year without money flow for the game, and doing sleepless nights for this game and for us. I'm happy we even got a solid date now. What would you say if they delayed it again to like March 15th (lets say this is the solid date)? Would you say the same thing? Or would you be complaining things like: WHY U DELAY PATCH?? THIS PATCH WILL NEVER COME OUT!!

PS: I'm not attacking you, I'm just trying to stop this Stupid conversation about a date.. we should be happy about... not about always thinking of the worse. and one last question, Do you really want them to rush out the patch now and be all buggy? or would you rather wait to the date they said, and it will be a Smooth patch like any other patch that we had?

On that note, can't we all just be happy now that we be getting are jobs in 9-12 days? :DDDDD

They wouldn't have lost that much money if they didn't fuck up v1.0, which was the decision of the management/business department of said company - it's their own damn fault.

I'd shrug and say "oh well, it's SE". You might not believe me, in that case try to find a post of me complaining about a patch being delayed. Unless I have multiple personalities, you won't find one.

Delays happen. Convenient delays also happen. We can't know which one happened here. All I meant to say was that this delay seems too convenient for them to me.

Post #1: Everyone makes mistakes just like everyone else does in this world.. and they payed for it with over a year of losses give them a break will yeah :/. Yes its there Fault but you have to admit.. how well this game has turned from bad to alright.. with jobs I say will make it great.

Post #2 I'm not saying you in Particular is Complaining about delays, im saying everyone in General ( the Forums). more like a Coincidence than Convenience Thats just me though.. if they were after money.. they would have done that with the last patch.. they would have also start the billing on the date the said they would in December before 1.20 came out.

Hey, I wasn't the one justifying them "milking" us with how they lost money from that year and a half. And while the game did become better, it's the work of the dev team that improved it, and if the management didn't push for an early release despite the game not being ready, then maybe FFXIV wouldn't have been labeled a failure (and yes, it's still is in the minds of the majority of people, just ask around).
The problem is though, the management doesn't seem to think it was their fault, that's why the old team was used as a scapegoat.

Now imagine the management screwing up again.... who will have to go next? YoshiP?

1.20/1.20a had the party list bug making life for the healers a hell. I don't want to know who tinkered around that to break it as it wasn't part of the updated content afaik. Macros are still bugged skipping command lines sometimes.
