I'm guessing the legs are some kind of subligar and maybe something similar to the hempen chamise for the chest?

WoD caster gloves maybe? o_O I think those were the scylla ones. Beyond that, I'm clueless.

Syrcus Tower gives Scylla gloves. It's both Healer and Caster.

Body could be Hempen Undershirt / Hempen Camise (Depending on male or female)

Head appears to be some kind of animal related one. Some kind of animal ears headpiece I guess.

Pants I have no idea right now.

Ring could be Gysahl Ring. But that's DoW/DoM retainer only so I'm not too sure unless there's another method to get them. It could also be Glass Pumpkin Ring from floor 200 Palace of the Dead.

Or could be the Sable Death Mask which is the reward for completing the Lv50 Allied Beast Tribes. The starting quest for those is called "Call of the Wild" like the clue.

I think they take a bit too many liberties with the translations when it comes to the Fashion Report (Or hints in general, if the S rank hints are any indication).

The JP hints this time around are extremely literal by comparison:

Head: Beast ears
Chest: Underwear
Hands: Voluptous (This is apparently what the Scylla set is called in JP, which is all too appropriate for the female version, not so much the male)
Legs: Sexy
Ring: Ingredient

Most of the choices seems pretty obvious save for the leg slot, as there's a ton of things that fit that description.

I'm learning towards:

Head: Werewolf Ears
Chest: Hempen Undershirt/Camise
Hands: Scylla's Gloves of Casting/Healing
Legs: Coeurl Beach Tanga/Pareo
Ring: Any of the egg rings from the past spring events

Doesn't the items need to be dyed? You can't dye scylla gloves?

Not really. The Samurai week the BIS Katana was the upgraded Shiva Katana and that can't be dyed. It's just that the BIS naturally gave the extra points you get for dying automatically. So Scylla gloves might just give +3 extra points for being BIS.

What about the upgrade was the ...effort-replacement for dying itself since Scylla-gear can't be upgraded? Might not mean anything at all ?.?

What about the Wolfliege long gloves? Can be dyed, is for mage, is a wolf like Scyllas face.

Also for the ring it could be one of the eggs from Hatchling Tide events.

That could be the case. But it seems one of the objectives of Fashion Report is to breath new life into older content as well. So I wouldn't really find it that surprising if Scylla gloves are BIS.

Could the pants be a certain subligar from the moogle postman quest line? Since it is the goldenest cup of the saucer. Which would hint at Godbert. I mean they're supposed to be the shinest subligar that fish are to go freaking wild for them.

That's actually pretty smart, although I'm not sure I would consider that to fit the "sexy" description xD
I was thinking of either the bunny legs from the saucer, or the serpentskin tights of casting. As for the ring, an alternative to the hatchtide ring could be the glass pumpkin ring from PoTD, while an alternative (if not the BiS item) to the werewolf ears could be the fox ears from the FATE.

I'd think the ring is the easter event ring. It seems nearly every fashion entry has an item from past events. PotD ring would be really nasty for BiS.

The Scylla caster gloves from Sycus Tower can't be dyed... has that ever kept something from being full BiS before? (Oops, sorry, just noticed I'd missed a page of chat.)

In French :
Theme : Star of the entertainments (Vedette des amusements)

Head : animal ears (oreilles animales)
Body : lingerie
Hands : enchantment (enchantement)
Legs : eroticism/sexiness (érotisme)
Ring : food (aliments)

In French, the theme seems to refer to Gold Saucer, thus the head is logically the bunny ears, only available for female characters...besides, other hints (body and legs) suggest, too, that it could be logically a female-locked for this week...
Did I ever mention the French hints are totally crap ???

They could also be sick and have the ring be the Mad Bird ring you get from winning the cactpot. This might not be a fun week to try for 100.

Unfortunately, cross checking with other languages, the gloves seem to be Scylla gloves because of the words they share with the item name in the other languages.

For lingerie/underwear, what about something like the Taffeta Shawl? (I'm not sure what it looks like on male characters.)

I'm going to take a stab and say that with "enchanting/charming" and "sizzling" for the gloves, they're probably the Scylla caster gloves. Given that we couldn't dye the SAM katana that one week but they still got 100, I think that losing the dye on the gloves but having a dyed weapon slot should make it work. The ring will probably be one of the eggs, since the fake mustache was something you had to get off the mog station or not at all (I'm iffy on the gysahl ring, since we haven't had to rely on RNG yet, have we? Everything else has been 'doable' if you levelled the class or bought the items off mb or mog station.)

50/50 on the ears being bunny ears; it fits, but at that point I'm going to throw my hands up at the idea of gender-locked Fashion Reports (class-locked isn't an issue, since anybody can play any class, but gender-locked 100% ignores half of the PC base, unless you want to be ridic and buy fantasias and even if I think they're crazy on money sometimes, that's too far imho). I'm going to hope it's fox or werewolf.

"Groin" pains + sexy on legs tells me subligar, one of the prior posters was probably right with the gold-spangled ones (since the playerbase is absolutely split on whether subligars are amazing (no) or the worst things in the video game (yes).)

Hempen chemise/undershirt makes sense, which is what tells me it's probably wrong.

My money is on werewolf. The quest to unlock the fashion report was level 50, wasn't it? So it should be something that you can purchase/receive by that level(bunny or werewolf being the only two that come to mind).

Werewolf or the fox ears from the fate would fit also.

How likely are the Coeurl or Piggy masks from the Golden Saucer? They hearken to the theme.

And for bottoms... what about some kind of loincloth? Loin rhymes with groin. lol

Except that for the ice week, the level 64 SAM pants were BIS, so really, nothing is out-of-range at this point. Also, you can unlock Fashion Report at level 15, when you first go to the saucer. I have it on a level 15 alt.

This one might be fun just gonna be wondering how the dying will be xD its gonna be wacky!

This makes me wonder if we're ever going to possibly have a week with two possible BISes - one for female and one for male. For example, the Expeditioner's Coat stuff. A lot of glamour gear is genderlocked.

Dunno if we ever found the perfect score for the first week, but one of the common items floating around was the Bridesmaid's Sandles, forcing males to come up with an alternative.

Think someone eventually figured out that Artisan Sandals were the intended footwear for the first week (evidently the bow on the footwear was what made it "cute as a button") though as far as I know no one reported finally getting a perfect score (probably because we hadn't figured out dyes). That first week was a bit of a mess as everyone was trying to figure out "the rules" and jumping to the conclusion that a gold medal meant best when it really just meant "item+dye scoring at least 8 points".

I highly doubt that a perfect score will be gender locked. If we're focusing on gender specific items, we're probably misunderstanding the clue in some way.

Bridesmaid's sandals weren't the best and only gave gold if dyed. Artisan's Sandals gave gold without dye.

On a side note, there are dyeable subligar that have the same model as The star spangled subligar.

Also, could the hands be something like, Witch’s Gloves, dyeable, and about the same arm length as Scyllas, who was a a witch of some sorts.

True to the mustache, I was more using it as a reason it would make sense for it to be an egg ring versus something that relies on RNG like the gysahl ring. Weren't the egg rings also rewards one year? Or were they always mog-exclusive? That might change things.

So far week 2,3,5 has no event item or gender-specific item for BiS.
Week 1 had Songbird/Royal Chapeau.
Week 4 had False Mustache, no gender specific BiS.

I just ran a syrcus tower run, and the boots fell from scylla but the robes fell from end after Xande.
If so, better just run unsynced and leave after first boss

One of them was a gold chocobo egg ring which would fit with the gold theme. I am also thinking the head piece is the werewolf ears since the English translation has been giving extra tiny clues lately for some things —call of the wild being about a dog running around with some wolves though I don’t know if the English team would go so far as to reference something outside the game.
