I'm not stopping you. Infact nothing is stopping you from just doing 300 fates right now. There is nothing stopping you from just running 50 circus tower. 15 variant clears? You want a relic step be y content x times? Oh boi do I have news for you, you can just do that.

Most of the Limsa afiers on Jenova are ultimate raiders. So are they casuals or hardcore? Lol

The game with mods IS an entirely different game, one devoid of Final Fantasy charm, and that can only be seen by you.

Why would I want to play a game as a Second Life bimbo with an exaggerated body shape and Disney fan-fiction outfits, while everyone else see's me as a generic unglammed character?

The whole point of playing an MMO is playing with other people. There's no point if I'm the only one who sees it. You're literally living in your own world, as if you've stumbled out of your basement flat with unkempt hair after going three weeks without showering, but you've convinced yourself you're a glamour model because that's what you see.

You're doing it for the gpose shots that only you can see, so you can post them to social media. So yes, it IS literally playing a different game, because it's not playing FF14.

"They have to respect our time"

In a game that's notorious for having a lengthy grind.

Or was supposed to be that way until people bitched about it lmao.

You fail to understand how grind content works. People want an exclusive reward being locked behind it so they can work for it. This is what relics were in the past. Doing a grind for no reward or making up a grind isn't the same thing.

And most players are fine with this exclusivity so long as it's not an item that is absolutely needed, which a relic is not.

Except it wasn't just the casuals. The raiding community was very vocal in their dislike of Eureka and Bozja, not to mention how much some whined and complained about ARR and Heavensward relic grinds. We really shot ourselves in the foot on this one.

I disagree the super dosed up enemies you find are way more interesting than the little animal friend in HoH and all the new pomanders do let you tackle the place differently to HoH like the dreadnaught being succubus and manticore in one
the "trust" pomanders are neat too
same skeleton but different execution

Are we really in the “well if you want a grind you can just go out and run CT yourself now” phase of the argument

Seriously 14 players will spend more time justifying why they should be rewarded as much for not playing the game as someone who does than they do actually playing the game
