Your comparison is great if comparing to the 6.1 changes that samurai received, but to be clear, that bit you quoted was in response to someone suggesting that Kaiten be brought back as a passive bar that filled up over time and enabled the Kaiten effect when full to automatically buff your next weaponskill.

No, I knew context. I just was comparing Reassemble and Kaiten in the simple fact;

You will never not press Reassemble before Saw, Drill, and Anchor when it's up, same as what SAM players used to do with Kaiten.

I'm going to put this out here.

Comparing Reassemble to Kaiten only diminishes Kaiten. While I can't speak for the four other gun toters in the game, I wouldn't give a flying flip if Reassemble disappeared tomorrow.

i'll never forget when they reworked WAR in 4.2. fell cleave felt so weak after that. same thing's happened w/ midare and namikiri here

Yea i easily chose it as my main job but now it just feels bad, i dont have to monitor my kenki pretty much at all and just press an ogcd to spend it every second cooldown outside of 2 min window it just feels bad i liked micro managing the bar so id have enough for finishers, auto crit added to skills makes gearing for crit feel bad now too even tho you still do it for increased crit damage feels like say 30% of the main stat you go for is now out the window.

Have been playing other jobs in the meantime but i hope they bring kaiten back otherwise i have no job im drawn to at all.

Been playing Reaper its rotation is passable but i despise the particle effects on the shroud rotation personally, it looks awful you cant see your animations its just a purple blob its the first job where ive wanted to reduce my own spell fx. :mad:

At this point, I'd settle for something that actually required me to think and plan while playing samurai. Something to make it more methodical than just wildly waving your katana around hurting things. Kaiten is gone for good, but naturally there are other ways they can make the class feel more exciting and its own thing, rather than the current discount, half-assed monk that it is now.

Unfortunately, I see the dev team building it more like Reaper - build resoruce and spend it as soon as it procs the skills that use it

Sadly, yeah, kind of what it could become. But, still, just...Something that requires SOME thought and expression and requires effort other than making sure you're close enough to the mob to stab it.

And just like reaper, being resource negative so no one will touch it after 1 month :)

Its been a while since I commented on one of those tread, so just want to bump and say SAM is boring now and I wish they would revert the changes. Thats all I guess.
