So many people playing as miqo'te!!

You can't loose then, ey? Either you change from Au Ra to leave behind all the Miqo'te Doppelganger. Or you just stay Miqo'te and become more unique because Au Ra will be new FOTM race.

Joking aside, there are plenty of Hyur as well, it's just that Sun and Moon Miqo'te look the same while Mid, other than be "normal", and Highlander are so different they could be different races. This way the eye is somehow deceived. Though I have a feeling that the Au Ra race even if overly popular at first will find its balance faster, getting its place in the Hyur/Miqo/Aura top 3 choosen races

Every MMO has a most popular race/gender combo. That's just how it goes!

In this game it just happens to be the cat girls, which I'm totally cool with, only the ones that talk like cats when they type annoy me.

Not this Roe. I... "dislike" (putting it gently) the Au Ra designs.

I chose Miqo'te cuz I felt they were the least human like race thanks to the tail and ears. Lalafell are too short for me. If Roe had tails like Galka I'd have gone with them. :3 I might change to Au Ra... depends if I like their emotes/run.

Frankly, the best emotes are Miqo'tes'

I play Miqo predominantly, in ffxi I played Mithra, and mithra did not have playable male counterparts so In ffxiv I still look twice when I see a male miqo. When I finally shelved xi for good I was already missing my first miqo and really wanted to come back to xiv just to level her and experience the new remade game I heard so much about. I admit I fell in love with how well made and detailed characters were in xiv and was always disappointed that XI didn't put more effort into customization. I view my main character as a continuation in spirit of the adventures I started in XI, different name, different world but the spirit, and personality feels the same ^^. Similar to other players I tried making an elezen and was awed that I could make one similar to a drow elf, however the minimum height just ruined the image for me and after a few days she was deleted.

Tried Au Ra in benchmark... The hair.. All of them are awful...

Females make the best protagonist. Nuff said. I bounce around every race cuz I have identity issues lol. But seriously Miqote have the best (for now) animations and their body frame is more to my appeal since its not tall or small tho Hyurs work great as well. These two races are the only ones that get a skirt... - .-; Au Ra from what I've seem, got everything I wanted. So once I switch, I'll finally have found my true identity. :p
