This thread inspired me to create this

Cause this thread is basically people trying to find other people to hook up with

So I had created a discord channel to do just that

So it's basically for people too meet an greet and hook up and do whatever

And talk about anything in the world

What kind of gamer are you: I'd like to say Casual / Midcore (?). I like to take it easy when playing the game and try to do a lot of side stuff such as Maps and such. Not to say that I would like to try and raid Savage and do the extremes, just not too a strict schedule.

Character Gender: Male, and Male in real life.

Do you care if the player in real life is not the same gender as their character? I would prefer it to be the case.

Character Race: Male Roegadyn now. Think I'll probably stay like this for a while.

Preferred Race: Male Roegadyn, Male Au Ra (maybe?) , Male Miquote, Male Elezen, Male Hyur (Highlanders especially!)

Main class?: Paladin at 60. I have all roles at 60, just a case of gearing them up.

Dislikes: Time wasters. What I mean by this is things such as loot role hogging and stuff. People who don't give you space. Yes, I know that this idea is supposed to meet others and play with them and such but everyone needs some alone time and not get bogged down every single day every couple of hours.

Goals for the game: Maybe clear some savage content. Keep on doing the Extreme trials when possible and just have fun really.

Goals for the marriage union: Just another like minded player to play with really. Even though I'm in a Free Company I've been doing an awful lot of soloing as of late. Just looking for a partner who can be an online friend for duties etc

Etc: I do work. There are at times, when I may not be on at night as I have to do Overtime. This includes weekends as well. There may also be times where I'm not in the mood to play FFXIV and maybe other games with other friends etc. I prefer to use text chat but if the conversation is one to one and after knowing for a bit, I will come on comms.

Realistically, the amount of players who view this thread are but a small fraction of the player-base. On top of that, I wouldn't doubt that there are FAR more male players in this game than there are female players. Even beyond that, you'll find a lot of players are settled into their server of choice and won't want to transfer. It's pretty easy to see why it would be hard to find someone.

While this point isn't directed at you in specific and is more or less a trend I see in posts across this thread, but being open minded also goes a long way. I see many "I'm a man playing a woman character who wants a woman playing a woman character" or "Only X race" posts. Which is fine, I have nothing against them. But all it does is limit that person even more. I know if I was a woman browsing this topic I would scroll down the instant I saw any of those posts I mentioned above. Because at least in my opinion, if someone is going to use this topic for the purposes of actually meeting someone of the opposite gender, it should be entirely about the person behind the character. Their in-game gender/race choices should mean very little in the grand scheme of things.

Also as a note, but I have no doubt that just as there's a fair share of guys who would want their eternal bond mate to be a woman/in-game woman combo, there's probably a fair share of women who would want their eternal bond partner to be a 'man/in-game man' combo too. So keeping fantasia to adhere to what potential partners would want is something to always keep in mind.

Both of my characters are bonded to good friends of mine, but if I were to post an application, it would be for the purpose of meeting new friends and/or finding another long term play buddy. If something organically blossomed as a result of that friendship, then so be it.

Consider the following: You are not as appealing as you think you are.

1. Forum population. Think of how many players there are on your server. Now think about just how little of them come to these forums, much less this thread. You're not exactly getting Facebook traffic here. Now think about how many in that small pool fit into your criteria.

2. Expectations vs Reality. Given the multitude of reposts, it shouldn't be expected to find what you want right off the bat. I expect to find someone before Stormblood hits. But I realize that it's many months away and I'll have to wait in between in hopes my max gilled out lala will buy me several estates.

Frankly the trouble is no one wants to leave their worlds or their a woman/guy looking for a partner who the other gender both in game and IRL and if not then their just here for the glam what no one in their right mind gonna spend the $$ on a marriage just to be used for glam and break up 5sec later unless that what your after too.

With their being so few willing to leave their world what understandable if you got friends or a FC but most cause they don't want to leave their house so make it even that harder to find someone. So at this point just a matter of time and keep trying to find someone sooner or later got to come across someone.

The problem I see is your limited play time, 3 days a week, and wanting a female player that is into adult roleplaying. Those 2 things will limit the potential pool of partners for you.

Also very few of the playing population visit the forums so the pool for partners is tiny

Well keep in mind what requirements you have set. As Daeriion said the fact your character is female, you're male and you want a female on a female character it can probably turn people away.

Also if I'm interpreting things right, you're looking for some kind of romantic relationship, when many female users don't want any of that and just want friendship.

And finally.. Hailey please stop the negative posts. It doesn't reflect that well on you. It can make you look very desperate for a partner(even if you're not), and will go into a depression because you can't get someone(as I said, even if you're not). It's a major turn-off. Just my advice.

Actually my preference have changed I would be willing to change myself into a male character if that would help cause I know most girls aren't into the whole girl on girl thing so I would definitely be willing to change to fit my partners preferences

What kind of gamer are you: I'm probably somewhere between hard-core and mid-core. I really like jRPGs and RPGs! I don't really play shooters (except Overwatch). I also really enjoy horror games; VNs are great; danmaku games are awesome; I really enjoy fighting games. I'll basically play anything to be honest except for a lot of shooting games and I don't really play games like GTA, I guess. ^^;;

Preferred Race: I don't really care! I guess if anything, one's fashion sense and personal aesthetic trumps the divisions caused by race for me. ;;

Main class?: My main class is Dark Knight, followed by Summoner; I'd also like to get more invested in Astrologian. It's my favorite healer. I do have everything at 60, though. My main crafter is Goldsmith, although I'm pretty much geared for all of them!

Dislikes: There's.. a lot of things I dislike. I dislike people that lie, that discriminate, that insist on acting mean towards others even though it never ever does help. I also dislike hard-headedness and people who manipulate others. I dislike feeling negative because of insecurities, I dislike feeling lonely and depressed. And from there, the list honestly goes on. However, there are as many, if not more, things that I do like so it balances out of course. :)

Goals for the game: My goals for the game are to have fun, raid, maybe own a house someday. I'd love to discover a community of friends that would last a long time, too, of course, since MMORPGs are kind of about community.

Goals for the marriage union: Honestly I'd just like to meet interesting people and make new friends. If something more comes of it, then wonderful. :)

Etc: I won't be quitting for a long time, I would imagine. I've been with this game since around 1.0! Also, whether or not this matters, I'm trans. I identify as a female, and playing a female character in this game makes me feel genuinely happy. As my interest into the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding is mostly to get the Ceremony Chocobo, I think about using the Gold Plan.

I still wish to enjoy the ceremony none the less. And for that reason I cannot bond with a Lalafell obviously. Nor with an Elezen because I'm not into Dhalmels :p.

Again be mindful that what I really want is the mount, so after the ceremony we can stay in-game friends, do activities together, or go each on our merry way. So if you're looking for a "serious bond", that's not with me.

But if we then spend times together afterward, I don't mind tender RP (/hug /blowkiss or that kind of stuff), but that's about it. I'm not interested at all in ERP, and not interested in developping a relation outside the game.

Like I said in the Schedule field I play at many different hours but most of the days I'm at least always online at or not long after Daily reset (3 PM GMT), so it's easy to contact me in-game during that time period.
