Marriage feedback [inofficial Poll]

dude strikes me as an ignorant Anne Coulter-esque talking head who just says completely insane shit to get a reaction. we'd likely all be better served blocking and dismissing him entirely. to give his bigoted commentary any further serious attention is to do a disservice to the important dialogue we could be having otherwise.

trying to talk any sense into him is tantamount to lecturing someone from the westboro baptist church. you're just wasting your breath.

Westboro baptist people deserve to hell... I am straigth and a baptist, I have to say Heath Ledger was one of the best actors. It's sad to see them to protest famous people's funeral by saying they are going to hell for being gay...

This keeps been irksome....USA =/= Planet Earth get it right already....you are not respecting where this game is coming from ...Japan doesn't see SSM like USA does ...if i had to bet i would 100% w/o hesitation that Yoshi-P doesn't want SSM in the game and you can cover your ears and repeat out loud "he wants feedback" all you want and cling to it but he is just been fair ...he is not granting anything

Not sure where you got the idea that I was trying to stretch US law over the border, Warlock, but I wasn't. I was arguing against someone who was making a case for banning gay marriage in general, and if you had bothered to read for another two paragraphs you'd have seen me address the in-game argument specifically, indicating that they're separate arguments.

Also, saying "if I had to bet" isn't exactly an argument. Either you have evidence that he didn't want feedback despite specifically asking for it, or you don't.

I whouldnt think that they want to please only JP people. So if they actually make a Poll, and all JP and US and EU and the rest of the world that plays FFXIV votes yes for SSM, they will totally implement it. Also i'm not sure how JP leads with this, but what i am sure of, its there's homossexuals on their society. Its something kinda natural that appears to be everywhere in the world. Also its a game, it doesnt mean that ppl will have to SSM irl. Just as we dont cast cure when we see a person dying or a Raise when a person dies. Calling RL matters into game is just dumb tbh. Ist 2 TOTALLY different things, as also ppl can BE what they actually WANT (male or female) and IRL we DO NOT pick what were born as. People could still marry by creating 2 diff sex chars, but that whould make one of them dislike their character and just play it to please their woman/man.

Everyone knows there is in EVERY MMO crossgender. In fact in XI 70-80% of the Mithras were male players. But when it comes to 2 Character of the same gender to be able to get married everyone makes such a fuzz(The fact that i make the enphasis on the word characters by no means meens that SSM should be forbiden IRL)
Why don't just ppl stop trying to control every aspect of everyone else's life and focus on their on life?

Marriage in general is a touchy subject, it can be a union between two or even more people, and for the case of SSM there are people that are completely against it, others that are all for it, and the same thing can be said about polygamy (Polygyny/Polyandry) and at one point long ago in time "Sibling marriage". (Shocking isn't it? but in ancient Egypt it was actually somewhat common)

There are places in the world where marrying your first cousin is acceptable and even encouraged (Most of places in the world allow it, actually including Japan) but regarded as immoral and disgusting in others (A criminal offense in some US states!) and I completely understand that SE, a company in a country that doesn't allow SSM and most of my above examples would be reluctant to include it in their product, a product that they hope to distribute globally. (which includes regions that don't jive with SSM of course)

Which probably explains why they didn't respond to this thread, and I would honestly be surprised if it ends up being implemented in the game at all.

Personally, I think it would be spiffy to be like some ancient king and have a big harem (Assuming I can get enough women to tolerate me enough to go through with that :( ) with a couple of lalafells (Me pedosta!) thrown in there for good measures, but oh well! not a game breaker for me.

Is it the same 4:1 ratio as in the "poll"? Not sure.
